I have to say that the description of this book does not do it justice.
Hope in the Mountain River is book 2 in Misty M. Beller’s Call of the Rockies series. This book can be read as a standalone, although I recommend reading them in order as the first book sets the scene for this one. However, there are no loose threads and you can just read this one by itself if you choose too.
“This epic journey is not at all what she expected” is such an understatement

Amazing classic
having just started to watch and re-watch the classics, tonight's random pick was Fatal Attraction, id never seen the film before and have to say it was amazing, I can see why it is held in such high regard. The acting is fantastic, the plot and structure keep the film going at a good pace. The stand out is Glenn Close who is tremendous! I can tick this one off the classics list and would definitely recommend it to any one.

After reading Decoded, I can honestly say that I learned something. I have always been a fan of rap music. Not necessarily all of it, but most of it and definitely a fan of Jay-Z. I liked the in-depth look at his music and what it was exactly that he was talking about in each song. The thing that I didn't like about the book and the reason why I gave it three stars is that the parts of the book when he wasn't dissecting his music, made me feel like i was reading a rap song instead of a book about rap music.

"And then I’d probably say, to round it out, probably The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. First time going to see that — I remember going to see that. Or Rocky Horror Picture Show, we can make those tied. Finally when I got some wheels and could drive out of town, I would drive for hours and days to go see a movie. I would go to great lengths to see movies. One time I rode my bicycle for seven hours just to see Night of the Living Dead. I did it in the rain, like, “I’m going to see this f—ing movie if it’s the last thing I do!"

"I have to say, there’s never been a film by Buñuel that I didn’t like and that hasn’t moved me very deeply, that didn’t make me laugh and probably cry too. The first time I saw this I remember being confused but thrilled, and I wondered what the point of the absurdity was. But when I saw it again, I realized that the film wasn’t absurd at all—it was about the absurdity of life, but it wasn’t absurd. It was a completely reasonable, intelligent, and clever film that was making fun of how ridiculous we are. It’s hilarious, and it shows very elegantly how stupid we can be."

Funny for it's time
I've liked this show ever since i was small. Very funny and you can tell it was from a time when everybody had a sense of humour and you could say what you wanted. They definitely go places with humour that shows wouldn't dare do now.

"People always look at me confusingly when I say the RHCP are an influence. It’s in the backing vocals that John Frusciante does that you can hear here. It’s also in the vocal melody blending in with the beat of the song. To me, the records they did with John are always a source of inspiration."
