Wow! The raw emotions that are written in this book is incredible. I felt Jena's pain through the pages. I didn’t grow up with a dad but her lose made me feel what I had missed. The betrayal she felt was unbelievably sad. How any one can just leave a child no matter their age is incomprehensible to me. Luke was amazing he was strong and caring. The pain he hides behind those blue eyes is just heart breaking. To blame yourself for every wrong step.
These two met each other at the right moment. To find your pain in someone else’s eyes and want to protect them. I was with the author at every word and every moment. There wasn’t a time when I didn’t feel something. Bravo! This is the second book I have read and it has made me cry.
Finding your way in a sea of ever changing emotions is so hard. To live everyday knowing you can’t bring them back or that you couldn’t save them. I felt their pain and then their happiness.
THIS IS A MUST READ!!!!

A huge thank you for sending me over this amazing book!

Even though I didn't have the opportunity to read the first book, I had the chance to read this one, and it was definitely breathtaking.

There are, of course, parts that are connected to the first part, but after the first 30ish pages, you get the hang of it, and the story just follows itself, and you can't even feel that you haven't read the first one.

This book is full of adventure, different background stories, unexpected moments and actions that will make your jaw fall on the ground time after time.

All of the characters are unique, special, and I fell in love with all their personalities. Especially Helene, with her strong character and strength. I also fell in love with Elias and his caring about others, even though he would never admit.

I would definitely recommend this book for all out there that love adventure and glorious moments!

Taken from my review on Goodreads: I enjoy reading my memoirs every once in a while because you have no idea what voices real people will have written on paper. The first half of the memoir actually had endearing moments, especially when it came to how Nina bonded with the boys she was watching while their mother worked. I enjoyed the boys' antics because at least this proves that they are real people. The second half of the book was a lot more boring, especially when it comes to Nina mocking lots of classic literature. Maybe I just didn't like Nina as a character in the memoir. She just seemed way too judgmental of everything even though she did love the boys she was caring for in the 80's. As much as I really wanted to like this book, I started to get bored to the point that I almost dropped it. In fact, I barely remember what happened towards the end because I just skimmed through my Kindle like a zombie. If you guys can survive through it, wonderful. It's just not exactly for me.

I really enjoyed the first book, None But You, and really wanted to like this one as much..... just looking down at some of the other reviews, it seems I'm not alone in not caring much for the ending.

In fact, the whole wrapping up of the story seems to drag on for longer than needs be, in my opinion, and the ending didn't seem to me realistic. Considering [i:]Persuasion[/i:] is Austen's most romantic novel, the chosen ending was decidely unromantic in many ways!

There are also a few things that don't seem to be satisfactorily concluded; I expected to hear more of the future planned for George Tuggins for one. Also I expected to hear of Mr Elliot running off with Mrs Clay and the Wentworths having something to say about that! I wasn't clear about Mr Elliot being seen earlier visiting Westgate Buildings, as in [i:]Persuasion[/i:] Mrs Smith indicates she hasn't seen him in sometime.

Overall, I liked it better than a lost of Austen sequels out there, but it could have been concluded more satisfactorily to my mind.
