Surprisingly fun
Went to see the movie today with the kids and was instantly surprised by how not bad it was! Some rather funny references to the original cartoon, without being too corny or annoying. The actress that played Dora did a great job and the supporting cast were entertaining enough. The husband and I were taken by surprised at how much we laughed at certain points. The fact that swiper was real character was a bit too bizarre for me though, it didn't add to the movie and even the kids looked confused.

As a fan of the 80s cartoon back in the day and read the comics as well I knew enough about snake eyes and the Joe's so I was looking forward to the movie to see his origins and how he became a Joe its good film not perfect there's plenty of good action set pieces which kept me happy I will say its than the previous Joe which is saying some thing would have liked to seen more of the Joe's other than scarlett maybe if there's a sequel

"S.. S... Smokin'!"

Mid 90s mix of CGI and live action, that is perfectly suited to it's main star (Jim Carrey, then just coming off his success in Ace Ventura) rubber faced antics, and that also had an acting credit 'introducing Cameron Diaz' in what was her breakout role as Tina Carlyle, the club singer who bored bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey) falls for at roughly the same time he discovers the Mask, that transforms him into - basically - a 'real life' Tex Avery cartoon character!

This is the seconds entry in Declan Shalvey's 'Thundercats' series, which - for some reason - I didn't really gel all that much with.

I don't know whether I'm misremembering the 80s cartoon (I was a kid at the time) or wheterh the characters - as portrayed here - truly are different, but I just struggled to connect with it.

It's not all bad, though - the art is good, yes, and there is even a 'Thundercats Hoooo!' moment inm there.

And yes, I may well continue with the series to see where it goes.
