Off Season Murder and an Approaching Storm
Things on Daybreak Island have gotten quieter now that it has entered November and the season is officially over. Maddie James is delighted to find that she still has a few locals who drop into her cat cafe. But she’s really surprised about the man who came in, paid for a week in advance, and spends most of his time working on his laptop surrounded by the cats. However, things get interesting when a woman shows up and announces that she believes JJ, Maddie’s cat, is really her cat. Naturally, the encounter upsets Maddie, but it is soon pushed to the back of her mind when a body is found floating in the water next to the yacht club. With a Nor’easter approaching the island, will that interfere with the investigation into the death?
I found it fun to visit this island during the off season, not that it keeps the book from being any less exciting. In fact, there is quite a bit happening here, and it takes some time for Maddie to unravel what relates to the murder and what is just red herring. By the time she does that and we reach the exciting climax, everything makes perfect sense. One of the minor characters in the series really steps into the spotlight with this book, and I enjoyed getting to learn more about him. The suspects are strong, and I loved spending time with the series regulars again. I’m already anxious for the next book to see how the ending of this one is resolved. This is another fun, charming entry in the series.

Another fantastic Discworld book
This was the second book I ever read in the Discworld series, and was a great introduction to Death as a character.
The book itself is a fun take on Father Christmas and is full of humour, if not slightly bonkers at times. It also has one of my favourite quotes:
"Susan has never been able to see the attraction in cats. They were owned by the kind of people who like puddings" - means more to a cat lover!

Baby Groot (3 more)
Special effects
Great cameos
Soundtrack is awesome
Great sequel, pretty hilarious
While I watch superhero films as a distraction, this was wonderfully fun and engaging. The graphics were phenomenal and baby Groot is literally the cutest thing in the Galaxy. The soundtrack is equally well chosen, from Cat Stevens to George Harrison, the music was spot on for the scenes. And the heartfelt story of the father-son affair was actually quite a tearjerker not to mention the great comedy. Fabulous all round entertainment.

For a straight to DVD film this is actually a pretty good thriller. Gere and Claire Danes give good performances about a tough subject matter. They monitor sex offenders in the community, when a teenage girl is kidnapped in the area their suspicions are raised. A bit slow at the start but the second half of the film is good cat and mouse stuff. Don't expect much of Avril Lavigne in this though, a one scene cameo is all you get from her in this.

Brings back great childhood memories
I used to watch this show when I was a kid in the 90s. I absolutely loved it! I haven't seen it in so many years! Thanks to Hulu I got to start with the pilot episode and am now working my way through watching the entire series again! Even as an adult I am enjoying the show once again, ahhh the nostalgia! I believe the youth of today would still thoroughly enjoy this show!!

This movie has grown on me. It's a huge hit with my now eight-year-old twins, too. Sure, it's silly, but that's what (most) Christmas movies are for. Kurt Russell lives it up as Santa Claus. There's schmaltz, but also some real heart, in the plot, which revolves around two kids who recently lost their father. Add in some great special effects, some wonderful elves (the cat elves, as my kids call them), and some hi-jinks: you've got yourself a sweet and funny Christmas movie.
