Molly J (Cover To Cover Cafe) (106 KP) rated The House at Saltwater Point (Lavender Tides #2) in Books

This book, to me, while having amazing characters, started off too slow for me. It wasn't until about chapter 4 that I became fully engrossed and flew through the book with lightening speed, following Ellie and Grayson through their story. There was unique twists and turns through the story once I got engrossed in it. Those twists and turns left me on the edge of my seat on a few occasions.
This book, filled with terrorism, truths that don't add up, and characters that are perfect for their roles, will leave you ready to get book three in your hands to find out what happens next. This is definitely a 4 star worthy novel and one that I will recommend to all who love a good, faith filled, thrilling suspense page turner. Mrs. Coble's talented hands have once again created a thrilling addition to her Lavender Tides series! Well done!

Regan hasn't had it easy, and it is her story to tell so I won't even try. Needless to say, Tyler is the one who helps her to live again, although being Dark Shadow, that poses a problem all of its own. Not only that, but Kat and Bass are having their own problems, brought about by Castor still trying to ruin their lives. No-one said being a shifter was easy.
There is so much in this book - from meeting new characters, to new romance, to building plans, to the world ending... it's all there. And without a single editing or grammatical error that I noticed. The storyline flowed smoothly, and with the chapter headings, you always knew when you were. I have thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the series, and I can't wait to see where we go from here. Absolutely recommended by me.

Merissa (13749 KP) rated Bound (Dark Reflections #1) in Books
Apr 6, 2023 (Updated Apr 10, 2023)
The story is certainly darker than the original series, hence the "Dark Reflections" series title. You see familiar faces in unfamiliar conditions and surroundings. Some of the things that happen in Reflections don't or haven't happened here. On the whole, it is a brand new look at the wolf pack of Sanctuary and of the shifter world in general.
I really enjoyed this book, almost against my own desires, and am looking forward to reading more in this series. I think it will be very interesting to find out how Adri and Alec will meet up this time. If you like Reflections, then definitely give Dark Reflections a chance.

Elise is the spoiled daughter of a merchant who is up to his neck in debt. So of course he sells his daughter. That's how the Frost Court planned it. Once Elise is there, her latent omega qualities come out, along with some brainwashing. Atarus gets what he wants, but isn't satisfied.
I am giving the three stars for the premise of this story. I liked the idea, even though I didn't find Atarus or Elise particularly likeable. What this book needed, though, was a massive edit! Even being read through by a beta reader should have picked up the plot holes, repeated (again and again!) questions and events, and the constantly changing personalities. And I'm not disrespecting beta readers at all! I won't list all the occasions, but they had me frequently scratching my head.
I have read quite a few by this author, and while I generally like them, I was disappointed in this book. However, after reading the last chapter, which introduces the next couple, I would still like to continue with the series.
