I will start my review by telling you that by the end of the second chapter I stopped reading this and I called my daughter into my bedroom and I began to read the book out loud. We read it in one sitting and we both loved it.

The suspense kept us on the edge of the bed and we often found ourselves laughing. The story line was beautiful and uplifting and full of life lessons. This author is talented and has a way with words. We both look forward to reading more of her books and we HIGHLY recommend this to one and all. -

This book was excellent! I was thrilled to win a copy through Goodreads just based on the jacket copy. Let me tell you, this book didn't disappoint! This is only the second of Scottoline's books that I've read but I am definitely a fan now.
I could not put this book down. I didn't figure out what was REALLY going on until the second to last chapter. And even then I was shocked! I thought things were over but they weren't...not by a long shot. This is the kind of book I love and it is worth your time to check out too.

This novel sounded really good, and as an English major I thought I would like it. It started off really well; but after chapter 3 it sort of died. I felt like she was explaining her past too much, and I just wanted to move forward with the story and learn about her past little by little. I figured I'd set it down and come back to it in a few weeks with fresh eyes, but when I did I got the same feeling. I don't have the time to spend reading books I don't get hooked on. So if you don't have the patience, this one isn't for you.

A true read.
Every chapter ending in you just dying to know everything. who doesn't like a good book that keeps you intrigued? Definitely a book to keep you guessing. Throughout always keeping you on both the killer and detective side. It has been a while since i picked up a book and wanted to read it straight to the end. But Chris Carter has a way of doing it. None of his books have let me down. He does a collection leading up to this one book following the same detective on his different stories. Catching serial killers and bringing the undetectable.
