Disappointingly not Happy
I’m glad I picked this up at a Charity Shop and didn’t pay full price (I now understand why I see this a lot in Charity Shops though)

I found this to be full of surface anecdotal bites filled with colourful pages.
I was expecting a journal, with spaces for the reader to explore notes within the texts but they were few and far between.

If you are genuinely looking for a guide on how to find or discover happiness then this is not the read for you.

I’m saddened that I had bought this for many people before I read this

When Cora gets tricked into hosting a charity crossword puzzle competition, she worries her secret might come out. However, she has other concerns when a body drops. Another fun book, although the rushed ending wasn't as strong as it could have been.

The transition book from Julie Campbell to the first of the ghost writers. Trixie and the Bob-Whites put on an antique show for charity, but is someone out to steal the really valuable antiques? Some good action and mystery, but also some back story issues.

App doesn't work with smile.amazon for charity
Almost TOO easy!
Amazon has made shopping from your couch almost TOO simple! I have created "wish lists" for things I want to buy my son for Christmas. Amazon is wonderful about marking price drops and I have gotten some wonderful deals this way. I love that I have access to a wide range of products from around the world and customer reviews for those products. With my Prime membership I have the option for free 2 day shipping, but more frequently I choose the "no rush" shipping option. This takes a little longer but I receive credits for digital items such as Kindle books, music, and movie rentals.
This app doesn't work with the smile.amazon charity donations. This is the one drawback of the app, and it IS a big one for me.

A woman Callie knows through a charity she volunteers with brings her into another mystery when the woman is accused of killing her boyfriend. Can Callie figure out what really happened? Another fast moving mystery that keeps the pages flying. The writing is still a little rough, although it is getting better.

Every now and again I like to take a break from the usual hard-hitting, dark and gritty crime thrillers I usually read and immerse myself into something a little more sedate and The Charity Shop Detective Agency hit the spot perfectly.

I absolutely fell in love with the three main characters in this story - Fiona, Partial Sue and Daisy ... oh and not forgetting Simon Le Bon! Despite being retired, they have the skills and insight needed to assist in bringing the perpetrator to justice. There is a supporting cast of equally excellent characters that all added to and had their place within the story.

The plot is engaging and had some great twists and turns that kept me guessing and on my toes. The pacing was perfect for me and felt right for the story.

Highly recommended to those who enjoy a cozy mystery with believable characters and I can't wait for the next in the series ... sign me up!

Many thanks to Joffe Books and NetGalley for enabling me to read and share my thoughts of The Charity Shop Detective Agency.

"I first met Stevie when he invited me to play at his charity event in LA in 2011. I was backstage when I heard a voice singing my song ‘Tightrope’ — it was Stevie Wonder. My mind was blown: He’s been a hero all my life. I sing this song with my family and it never gets old. When you see the news or social media, there are things constantly trying to divide us; this song brings you closer to loving your neighbor."

Minister's wife Aggie Wilcox-Sloan gets roped into serving on the committee for the Emerald Springs Idyll, a local charity talent show to raise money for a hospital wing. But celebrity judge Grady Barber is a royal pain in the neck. Someone else agrees when they kill him. This book took too long to get to the murder, but once it did, things picked back up. And I absolutely love these characters.
