Don’t Hiss at Me, but This Was a Weak Entry
Charlie Harris and his cat Diesel have been requested by Wil Threadgill, a musician coming to town to work with the music students at Athena College. Wil grew up in Athena, Mississippi, but he left forty years ago. He’s worried that something will go wrong on his return visit. And he turns out to be correct when someone dies at his opening reception. Will Charlie figure out what is going on?
It's been almost two years since the previous book in the series came out, and it was great to be seeing these characters again. All the regulars are as fun as ever, including the four legged characters. Fans will be happy with one development we get in the book. Unfortunately, the plot was weak, with Charlie not as involved as he should be. The ending is abrupt, but it does answer most of our questions. There are also some timeline issues, with Charlie living the same time twice. While the book could be stronger, fans will still be happy to see Charlie, Diesel, and the rest again.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2071 KP) rated Face Time (Charlotte McNally, #2) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
TV investigative reporter Charlotte "Charlie" McNally has been given the scoop of a lifetime - a woman in prison for murder is innocent, even though she confessed. But can Charlie prove it without the woman's help? The pacing was uneven, but I loved spending more time around these characters.

David McK (3188 KP) rated Hot Shots! (1991) in Movies
Aug 1, 2021
Charlie Sheen's 1991 Top Gun parody, which is perhaps not as funny as I remember from my youth but which still has plenty of gags (not all of which land).

Whatchareadin (174 KP) rated Losing Princeton Charming in Books
Apr 10, 2019
Charlie and Spencer have been through a lot in their short time together. When Spencer lies to Charlie about his plans for then evening and then subsequently, finds her naked in her best friends apartment(it's a guy by the way), they make the decision that maybe they aren't the best for each other. But somehow they can't stay out of each others lives. Will they be able to either stay away from each other, or find a way to make it work no matter the consequences?
Thank you to C.M. Seabrook and Frankie Love for the opportunity to read and review this book.
This is book 3 in the Princeton Charming Series. I think that this one has been my favorite so far. It made me cry. Charlie and Spencer aren't together, but both of them are miserable. When vandalism hit both Charlie's room as well as Ava's, Spencer's sister, it brings them together like never before. Not only Spencer and Charlie, but also their friends. But is it enough for them to stay together and make it last?
There is one last episode in the story of Charlie and Spencer and I can't wait to find out where their relationship is headed to next.
