101 Ways is a cute fast book with tips on how to live your days enjoying your fashion, your every spare moment, and your life. These tips are simple and easy: “Wear what you love—don’t always go for designer names. Look for splendid pieces in undiscovered boutiques.” and “Take a bath—luxuriate in a warm bubble bath, step out feeling like a million bucks.” My favorite was # 16—“Pick up a book. Knowledge is power. and power is chic.” They’re the kind of thing that you read and follow just to give yourself a quick break, and a refreshing change, with tons of easy, fool-proof fashion tips.

THE CHI is a timely coming-of-age story centering on a group of residents of the South Side of Chicago who become linked by coincidence but bonded by the need for connection and redemption.

"One of the scariest, most pessimistic modern horror movies, dressed as a romance. Roeg never had the elements come together the way they do here. Pino Donaggio’s score is unforgettably lush, and a reminder of how vital a collaborator movie music is. Christie and Sutherland are chic in deserted Venice. One of the most shocking climaxes ever—dread-filled and bloody. One of Paramount’s big Christmas films of 1973—today you can only marvel at that."

I thought this film was really interesting and I didn't know what to expect which is always good. I loved Get Out so I was really excited for this and it didn't disappoint. I think I may need to give it a rewatch because there's a lot of information to take in. Part of it feels like it could be a classic chic flic when the mums are just sitting on the beach together and the other half of it is really spooky and weird. Definitely keeps you on the age of your toes and it's unlike anything I've seen before.

"I love it. Bernard Edwards is one of my favourite bass players; that bass-line is super funky, there can’t be a better one. And of course this is written and produced by Nile Rodgers. It’s basically a Chic track with Carly Simon on vocals. I think she’s pretty amazing, but I’m not a huge fan. I’d always associated her with being kind of country, and a little soft pop – which is pretty – and had no idea she was capable of making music like this. It’s a totally different vocal style, on a whole new level. This song is incredible."

Thoroughbred For A New Generation
With its striking visuals and cleverly paced plot points, this modern day cat and mouse teen Crime Thriller will leave you speechless by the end credits. Anya Taylor-Joy's performance more than makes up for the film's weaker plot points as she brings a sense of vulnerability to the character that otherwise may have felt less memorable if portrayed by any other actress. As usual Olivia Cooke delivers a fabulously balanced performance mixed with dead pan that just makes sense given the subject matter. I feel this chic mystery will garner a cult following in the years to come and it rightly deserves so.

Received this book in a good reads giveaway and boy am i glad i did. I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting,i loved all the different characters who all seemed so real ,if i found a reading circle like that id join it in a shot, loved the ups and downs and felt i lived it all with them,i am a big fan of erotica, but i wouldn't class this in that genre,it was more chick lit with spice ,i was in stitches with laughter at some points,it was nice to read a book with such strong, normal, female role models. But by far my favorite character had to be Reggie, loved the chic geek,so glad to have discovered a new author.

"Antonioni’s best film. This movie puts me into such a pleasurable deep funk. Profound, chic, visual existentialism has always been up my alley. Every image is boldly striking—from the hustle and bustle of the stock market (as timely as today’s headlines) to the urban architectural landscapes to the lovers Monica Vitti and Alain Delon. The last are especially easy on the eyes. This movie caters to the intellectual fantasy in many of us. If you are a professional philosopher or lay thinker (like myself) who likes to contemplate the nature of “reality,” the last ten minutes will totally blow your circuits. This is one very cool movie. Richard Peña’s commentary has so much information, minute for minute, you wonder how the guy keeps it all in his head."
