Good range of facts at an appropriate level for most KS1 children. It was very much enjoyed by my class and helped drive our non-fiction writing.

Lindsay (1771 KP) rated The Quiet/Crazy Easter Day in Books
Mar 7, 2020
The Quiet Crazy Easter Day is a really cute book. It will make children understand Easter and the season in why we celebrate it. It really is something lovable and enjoyable. The book is padded and good for little ones.
The pictures are vibrant and tell to story. The words rhyme to make it fun. I enjoyed the rhyming though out the book. It is not all that hard to see what the book is about. How would you celebrate if you were there when the lord was reborn.
There no book so far that does this for little children that make it this easy. Little children as young as 2 can look at the pictures and enjoy it as well as children as for can learn to say some of the words. Read along with a parent there. It that sweet and cute.

Lee KM Pallatina (951 KP) rated Something Special in TV

Mr Tumble and Friends
Something special is a very unique children's television series following the clumsy clown character known as Mr Tumble.
Portrayed by Justin Fletcher and always includes children with disabilities & special needs, involving them in the fun activities of the show.
Over time, the show has created new characters like Aunt polly, Grandad Tumble, Lord Tumble & many more.
A very recognisable character with his polkadot covered patchwork clothes, mr tumble has become a welcoming household name & continues to evolve.
It has helped children with their creativity & imagination and has even spawned a live stage show.
What is also incredible is that Justin Fletcher is a trained Makaton signer who uses this skill on the show with children who have delayed learning & communication difficulties & has created many memories for so many young children.
It is also the longest running programme on Cbeebies.

Lindsay (1771 KP) rated Mr. Waldorf Travels to the Mysterious China in Books
Feb 8, 2018 (Updated Apr 9, 2019)
This is a great book for young readers. This is good for parents to help struggling readers with this book. It teaches about the places round the USA and the World. This one gets you to explore China. If your family or children are into animals, this is a good book for them.
The pictures are done wonderfully. The author will get readers engaged with this set of books. I got the four books that are out for this series. Your children will learn about the country China. The author does wonderful giving you different things in this book. The way the author has Mr. Waldorf travel in this book makes it quite run and enjoyable. You learn about China most popular bear that live there. You also learn about China landmarks along the way. The picture are down wonderfully and can entertain you that way as well.
This is good for adventurous children. The pup in the book whose name is Mr. Waldorf seems to lose this reading glasses. Your children will laugh and learn at the same time. To me the age is good for children as young as age 3 to beginner readers.

Lindsay (1771 KP) rated The Gingerbread Train: Santa's Secret Gift in Books
Jan 30, 2020
What a cute book. I enjoyed it. The story is written well. The storyline is made for children. Though they may need a little help. Children will enjoy this book. It genders natural and that good. The age group may be set for 4 years old and up.
The pictures are done well. Pictures are someone telling the story. As I was reading, I wonder if Matthew was dreaming or if it became real. The story set on Matthew mostly but his sister does come into play.
How the story goes makes you on a journey a bit. Will Matthew see a gingerbread train? What is so sweet and lovely about it? I enjoyed looking at this train. The train seems to come in the afternoon and only when I child is there. How this story ends is lovely and done well. Though I wonder what happens after the holiday.
If your children enjoy trains and love playing with them. This book is good for them. Parents can read the book to their young children. Children can read it if they choose to do so.
