"My first film would be Braveheart. I love that film. I have Scots-Irish ancestry, and I was very intrigued with it. I’m actually a part of the Wallace clan on my grandmother’s side, so I was very intrigued with the portrayal of William Wallace, even though I’m not a direct descendant. The subject matter interested me, and I thought that Mel Gibson did an exceptional job. It’s my favorite film. It’s one of those films I can watch over and over and over again. It has comedy, there’s romance, love, passion, love of your country, the pursuit of freedom, and I just think he did an incredible job directing that film and also starring in it."

Comedy was gold. Good pairing on falcon (sorry captain america) and winter soldier ( white wolf) (0 more)
Sharon carter being power broker totally out of character (0 more)
Great character growth for side movie characters
Contains spoilers, click to show
I love the series of sam being captain america of what it takes for the legend also to be a influence in these modern times. Doing the show and touching political topics without being heavy awesome. The character john walker was excellent and showing what can happen living up to a legend. The incident with the bloody shield was kinda just tossed away coulda done more. Also sharon carter being power broker because she didn't get a pardon, yes she could have. Didn't like it. Awesome series

"These are my three favorites for pure entertainment. I’ve lumped them together under “professional comedy.” And these are the best. Though, if you want to crack into journalism or daytime television after watching them, perhaps you should watch them again. Broadcast News and Tootsie make me put my hand to my heart, just thinking about them. I can’t think of a single thing I’ve ever written in any book that doesn’t aim to have that ideal blend of humor and heart, that pacing. Sweet Smell of Success is more of a perfect script than a perfect movie, but it’s phenomenal. “I’d hate to take a bite outta you. You’re a cookie full of arsenic.” Who says these things?"

There's a clear divide about this film, as was very evident about the feedback. In almost all instances the women loved it and the men hated it. And in this instance (like some others... don't get me started ;) ) men are wrong. With four fantastic actresses they would have had to do a really terrible job for this to come out as a bad film.

When this one comes out on DVD I will be pairing it with First Wives Club and having a very entertaining evening in front of the box.

It's a solid comedy, with some romance thrown in... and woman or man... you'll finish watching that film and be a little in love with Andy Garcia.

Wickedly good fun
This was definitely on my radar after seeing a trailer a few weeks ago. A slightly oddball horror/comedy film as a new bride has to play a game as part of a tradition with the new family. This is no normal game of Hide and seek! It reminded me a bit of @You're Next (2013) but with more of a funny side. Simple premise but done very well. Samara Weaving is definitely one to watch out for, also very good in @The Babysitter (2017) If you want a fun, quirky horror film in the build up to Halloween this is worth a watch.

Nut up or shut up
Zombieland is great, pure and simple. It's a common misconception I think, that zombies have been over done - yes I guess, but the same could be said about any genre - as long as there's the odd good one here and there then I'm ok with it.

Zombieland is a very self aware zombie film - mixing gore and action with a good dose of genuinely funny comedy.
The four lead characters are all endearingly likeable, and are easy to root for.
Woody Harrelson is a particular highlight!

The cinematography and special effects are stylish throughout the plentiful zombie action.

Throw in a great Bill Murray cameo and you have a winning formula.

Considering the source material, I think the writers have come up with a pretty decent story, they also haven't shied away from the source either but made it palatable for the wider audience.

My son and I both thoroughly enjoyed it, there were giggles for grown ups and kids.
It moved at a fast pace but my son kept up with it all, and even gleaned most of the meaning when mixed languages were being spoken (he can't read all the words himself yet!)

It is what it is, a fun feel good family movie, with a little bit of a 90s comedy style to it.
Perfect to watch with the kids.

Bob the vampire blows every pre-conceived notion of what it means to be immortal right out of the water. Long gone are the days of sparkling broods and filthy-rich creatures. In So I Might Be A Vampire, the glamour is stripped away and what you're left with is ultimately more human than anyone could have imagined.

Though I'm not normally one for comedy, this book made me laugh and for that, I recommend it. You can check out the full review at: https://ravenousforreads.com/so-i-might-be-a-vampire-by-rodney-v-smith-book-review/
