Such an important book for any woman or man to read. I wouldn't call it entertaining but compelling. The writing was excellent and the author note at the end made the tears spill. Her best work to date.

I remember this book being compelling for the situations the two young characters had to overcome to express their love for each other, a very troubled home that needs to be escaped, and a cassette player.
