A solid entry into the fantasy realm but nothing to write home aboit
Shannon was lauded as the next J.K. Rowling by some but she didn't develop the same kind if following. Her books are good, not great. The world she creates, while interesting as not as compelling as others out there. In a very crowded genre, this series just failed to stand out enough.

The story is very compelling and the characters are interesting. I love that it switches between perspectives so you can get the full story. It is a very easy read. (0 more)
It feels a little like a fan-fiction, although that could be my fault for watching the first few seasons of the show first. There are grammatical errors throughout, which was distracting during the slower parts of the book. (0 more)

A unique and brilliant addition to the Zombie/Apocalypse genre
This is the first book in the Decaying Days trilogy. It introduces you to compelling and relatable characters facing the unthinkable. An outbreak that is destroying humanity but a serum was supposed to fix everything, but did it? Humans are showing mutations in their fight to survive the afflicted.
