Well acted (1 more)
House looks very creepy
Hauntingly good
Finally got around to watching this after hearing good reviews. It can be tricky to make a TV series that is scary for 10 episodes. This does a very good job.
The atmosphere is very good and generally goes for an eerie, creepy feeling with a few jump scares. The child cast were very good, although it took a couple of episodes to work out which Adult was playing the grown up version. It's quite intelligently done with how it links events from the past and present from different perspectives. Finishes nicely bringing everything to an end. The last 2 episodes didn't really the impact I hoped for. However series as a whole was very good. Worth checking out for Halloween.

So this is different to Lilou's other books, as in it isn't paranormal and instead is a contemporary romance.
I really liked the story and if I wasn't so picky with giving 5 stars then this would probably have gotten 5 stars but as I am, I'm giving it a strong four.
I like how Lilou writes her romances. They're well thought out and developed so that although they are short you're left feeling all nice and warm that the couple got their HEA.
The first meeting between them was well written and I had shivers as I felt the connection between Faye and Quinn. That continued to the first sex scene and I was hooked from there.
I grew to like all the characters, apart from the bad guy of course.
Can't wait to read more books by the author!

David McK (3716 KP) rated Diggers (Bromeliad Trilogy, #2) in Books
Dec 23, 2020
Middle book in the late Sir Terry Pratchett's so-called Bromeliad trilogy, with the Nomes now living in a a disused quarry following their escape from the just-about-to-be-demolished department store of Arnold Bros (est 195).
Said quarry, however, is about to be put back into use, with this novel mainly following the exploits of Grimma, Dorcas and a few others when Masklin and a couple of the older Nomes go off on a mission to see if they can find a 'real' home for the Nomes; not somewhere that they have to hide from the Humans (who don't believe in them) as they have done all their life.
This is the one with the monster Jekub, and is slightly more mature than the previous offering in the trilogy (that would be 'Truckers')

Emma @ The Movies (1786 KP) rated Ghost in the Shell (2017) in Movies
Sep 25, 2019
To start of the first working day of May (thank you bank holiday Monday), I whizzed out from work to see Ghost in the Shell. I honestly thought I'd missed it, but luckily they had one showing on for a couple of days just after work. So it was a Tuesday double. I liked it as a film, story line wasn't bad and I liked the effects... what I did not like was her diving off buildings every chance she got. There were a lot of shots where the background suddenly comes rushing at you... if you have vertigo that is induced by things like that, this is not the film for you. I felt a bit queasy every now and then, I'm hoping I didn't miss anything good while I was looking at the floor!
Matthew Krueger (10051 KP) rated Maximum Overdrive (1986) in Movies

Stephen King's Haterd Against Trucks
Maximum Overdrive- is one if not the worst movie based off of a stephen king novel and who better to direct this garbge than Stephen King himself. Its his only movie he directed.
After a comet causes a radiation storm on Earth, machines come to life and turn against their makers. Holed up in a North Carolina truck stop, a group of survivors must fend for themselves against a mass of homicidal trucks. A diner cook, Bill Robinson (Emilio Estevez), emerges as the unlikely leader of the pack, attempting to find an escape plan for himself and the survivors, who include his boss, Bubba Hendershot (Pat Hingle), and a newlywed couple.
Even a bank machine tells Stephen King himself that he is a asshole. Which is funny.
Dont watch this movie. Its bad.
