New York New Rules
A really enjoyed @Scream (2022) and think it's one of the better entries of the franchise. Good to see this one got the green light soon after but little worried could be running out of ideas.
I needn't of worried this feels very fresh while still in keeping with a few familiar traits of the films.
It carries soon after the last film with the survivors now in New York for a fresh start. Only for a new Ghostface wanting to make a final cut.
It definitely felt fresh with some new ideas and twists to the Scream format whilst also paying homage of sorts to the franchise as a whole. One Scream fans will enjoy for sure.

I have been using Duolingo for years, and I find the app to be both fun and informative. I love the way it is set up, though sometimes I have a hard time switching back and forth between languages.

I appreciate the ability to skip sections of content via taking a test--this allowed me to save tremendous time when refreshing my Spanish. I was able to skip a series of lessons quickly and movw on to more challenging content, and even content I have never had the opportunity to learn!

I also appreciate that there is a spoken component with this app. Not only do you need to be able to type what you hear, you need to be able to speak what you see with a reasonable accent. I can't roll my tongue, but I can still pass any of the tests and hear corrections.

I also enjoy the opportunity to "compete" with my friends. We regularly check in with each other and it's a lot of fun to try and stay at the top of the heap. I would love to see the inclusion of challenges, where you could compete directly instead of just in overall points.

One thing I don't care for much is that the sentences, while creative, certainly don't always make sense. A cat eating an elephant or my aunt being faster than a dog doeisn't make much sense to me. Additionally, I sometimes see the same sentence 6 times in a lesson, which means there isn't enough content.

All in all, though, I appreciate Duolingo and plan to keep using it for some time to come!

Bought for my daughter, played by me.
I told my partner time and time again, we shouldn't buy this game, because it doesn't end and I'll play it all the time lol I wasn't wrong. I really do adore this game it's a lot of fun, especially in Survival Mode. There's so much to explore and the aquatic part is breathtaking. So far I've got two houses and an underwater monument base and I don't see it stopping there. I will eventually build a house in each biome, I think. The terrible graphics holds its own nostalgic charm for me and it's mostly easy to play. Brewing and Enchanting is a lot of work and there are so many steps I feel like I've always got to have Google open on my phone to figure out how to do it. Using experience points to mend and enchant is super annoying because the more advanced your item the most xp points you use to fix it. I currently have an awesome iron pick with several good enchantments on it but I can't use it because otherwise it will break and it costs 33 xp to fix. Another annoying point that gets me is some things that are drops are useless to the player (magma rock, zombie flesh for example) it would be nice to have some use for these items at some point. My 8 yr old can only play in creative mode or on peaceful in survival otherwise she continuously dies and gets super frustrated with it so unless your kids are seasoned xbox gamers I probably wouldn't start them on this. Personally, apart from a few annoying features I love the game. It's creative, relaxing and fun.
