Superman gone bad
I found this dark reimagining of Superman quite hit and miss. The kid is creepy enough and fully utilises his powers once he knows what he is capable of BUT the writers could have given us a little more of what motivated him to use said powers for evil instead of good.

The film wasnt to heavily reliant on the gore, though when it did it was pretty cool (the glass in the eye scene stands out) and the occasional jump out your seat scare scene did just exactly that.

Not sure if this has the potential to open up a cinematic universe with nothing but supervillains in (as eluded to in a credits scene)

I'll be honest, I went into the new Vacation movie with very low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. I was laughing from the opening credits to the end. We all know it was Uncle Eddie that made the original vacation movies so great, but he sadly isn't in the new movie. There is a character that makes the new movie hilarious though, and that's the youngest Griswold son. That foul mouthed little asshole had me rolling. If you are on the fence about seeing it, I say load the family up in the old station wagon and take a road trip to the movies to watch Vacation.

Disappointing
A little surprised at the high ratings for this, definitely one critic's and audience disagree on. 84% v 40% on Rotten tomatoes. It's a well made film and the look and feel is great, with a strong cast. Other than impressive visuals and sets there isn't much depth to it. It's slow with barely any action and by the end it's one of those films that will make you think oh is that it? when the credits roll. I would recommend @Moon (2009) over this for a great space set thriller.

The stunts
When I first watched the first fast and furious movie 20 years ago that 20 years later I would now be watching the 9th in the franchise I've been a fan of the movies for so long the only time wasn't a fan probably Tokyo drift for me the worst of the nine. Anyway to the movie the movie has it all some amazing car stunts which gets better with every movie. John cena Is good addition to the franchise playing doms brother leaving it open for him to come back for fast 10 when it gets made make sure u stay for the credits extra which I won't give away here

Just seen at my local cineworld was it worth waiting 15 months due to pandemic yes it was worth the wait its good to the mcu back when the marvel logo came up I cheered. anyway the film the film was amazing scarlett and Florence were exceptional especially Florence who's been good since fighting with my family 2 years ago plenty of good action scenes could have done with more taskmaster who was underused but wasn't expecting the reveal behind the mask at all. Overall good movie it's good to finally get the mcu back on the big screen also stay past the end credits for a extra scene

Was always going to be impossible being the next film up after endgame and though this one had one or two minor issues it's still another excellent entry into the MCU.

Some good action scenes, excellent performances by Tom Holland and Jon Favreau made this better than homecoming, though mysterio wasnt up to much as the bad guy with all his tech illusions.

It's a shame that the cliffhanger ending in the first post credits scene wont be fully explored as spiderman is no longer in the MCU.Hopefully Sony will keep up the quality in future movies and it will be interesting to see if spiderman goes up against venom or morbius.

Short films are always hard to properly rate, especially as Battle at Big Rock is less than 9 minutes long!
But what we get here is a quick blast of dinosaur action that takes place soon after Fallen Kingdom, and revolves around a family on a camping trip, where they get stuck in the middle of two different dinosaur species fighting.

The short has a couple of cool shots as the chaos unfolds, and is a nice little appetiser for the upcoming third film in the Jurassic World trilogy, and it directly deals with the issue of dinosaurs living amongst us.

I would have given this a 6, but the awesome end credits sequence brings it up a mark.

We came, we saw it, it kicked ass! My mind is like a ghost trap and the memory of this night will forever be captured and stored away, never to be forgotten. Between sharing my love for Ghostbusters with my niece and just all of the nostalgia surrounding the movie, it made for a very emotional night. Ghostbusters: Afterlife was worth the wait, and like a bunch of library books, it stacks up to the original. It's so freaking amazing! I loved everything about it! If you're a big baby like me, then have some tissue to keep your tear streams from crossing. And make sure you stay until the end of the credits.

It’s a movie I’d been waiting to see since Netflix starting teasing us with the trailer, so last night I sat down to watch the almost two and half hours of Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead!

I have to say that after the introduction in the film on how the zombies first took over Las Vegas I absolutely loved the opening credits with the slow-motion action, amazing soundtrack and the pink lettering that really stood out on the screen, the style of the opening reminded me of a video game which is no bad thing as it certainly got me intrigued on how the film would play out through the two and half hours.

So much fun
This may look like a kids film, but it’s just as appealing to adults, especially those of us that are young at heart!

The animation is fantastic, and the jokes are nonstop throughout the entire film, even with Batman narrating the opening credits. The few songs included are funny and so catchy and clever. There’s a lot of references here back to other Batman media (including the shark repellent from the Adam West days) as well as a lot of characters from outside of the DC universe. Not many other films could get away with fitting in gremlins, Sauron and Voldemort! What had me in stitches the most was the characters voicing the gun shot noises - genius!
