Gripping and dry
What I love about Jane Harper's books is the biggest character is always the landscape the story takes place in. Force of nature is set in one of Australia's cold and dark national parks, rugged and unforgiving and so the atmosphere is set. Take office politics up a notch to a brutal level and add intriguing and constant suspense and you will find it difficult to not read just another chapter. If you like crime novels Harper's and human and most importantly believable. Won't get a better thriller/crime novel this year

I really dont know what to say about this book to be honest! I thought I was going to be reading a good thriller but instead, it turned out to be an in-depth exploration of grief and guilt with a bit of thriller thrown in.
The story was interesting but could have been so much more than that; I felt there was way too much emphasis on the feelings of the main characters, which got boring quite quickly, and not enough development of the crime/thriller aspect of the story. The first third of the story was good, the second third was boring and the last third was when the tension developed but this was over very quickly.

Okay Thriller but nothing mind blowing
I won this in the giveaway. To be honest I don't read that many crime or thriller novels as they kind of all blur into one. This was very well written and the pacing was excellent. I just didn't find the story very credible, I know it is fiction, but still needs to be believable. I think the big plot twist at the end would have been more shocking if all the media hype had not left it's own breadcrumbs. Maybe don't read any of the hype before reading.

Intimidation and Corruption
Dark Blue- is a good crime thriller.
The plot: Set in the Los Angeles Police Department in 1992, "Dark Blue" is a thriller that takes place just days before the acquittal of four white officers in the beating of black motorist Rodney King and the subsequent L.A. riots. In this racially charged climate, the LAPD's elite Special Investigations Squad is assigned a quadruple homicide. As they work the case, detective Eldon (Kurt Russell), tutors SIS rookie Bobby (Scott Speedman) in the realities of police intimidation and corruption.
I would highly recordmed watching it.

Great actors
Great crime thriller
A very good film, if slightly drawn out, that follows the story of the Zodiac killer of the 70's around San Francisco. The fact it is all based on true events and evidence will hook you in even more. It can be a bit slow but if you like cat and mouse thrillers you should like this.

Good revenge thriller
An often overlooked film with an all star cast, about a tale of revenge. Mel has to deal with con artists, bent cops, organised crime bosses and Lucy Liu as a domanatrix to get revenge on those who double crossed him. Quite violent at times but a cracking film. You'll like it if you enjoyed A history of violence or Running scared.

This crime thriller was just ok. I wasn't sure what to expect of it (it was listed as horror) but it was pretty much what the description tells you. Decent storyline with some good acting. A little predictable in some parts, but not so much it ruins the story. Pay attention, however, or you may end up confused. Overall this one is worth a watch.

A great action/crime thriller as a rookie cop joins the LA narcotics unit and has a memorable day in many ways. It's a very good film with some great actors and a decent story. It is quite violent at times, quite weird in places but has a tense great ending I really enjoyed. The same director recently done Brooklyn's Finest also worth checking out!

Jackie Chan still has it
This political action thriller was VERY entertaining. I've been a Jackie Chan fan from his earliest works and he's only gotten better over the years. This one has plenty of his signature action(though less comedic, more serious) matched with a very intense story line about justice being served. If you're into crime thrillers, you'll enjoy this one. Really worth a watch!

Intriguing story from both sides of the law
Amazing shoot out scene
A finely crafted heist film
A brilliant crime thriller/ heist movie with an amazing cast. Al Pacino and Robert Deniro are great as the brains behind operations on opposing sides of the law. Turn up the surround sound for the shoot out, awsome scene that raised the bar for the genre.
