Fiona Grey is an LA-based singer-songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. Not too long ago, she released a music video for her “Saviour” single featuring Emma Cole.

The Sean Berger-music video was choreographed by Kevin Stea (Madonna, Michael Jackson).

The visuals are an ode to Felini, Marie Antoinette, and the dark and dreamy black and white films of the ‘60s.

‘Saviour’ contains a relatable storyline, pleasing vocals, and charismatic instrumentation flavored with an indie-alternative aroma.

Also, the likable tune is featured on Fiona Grey’s latest EP, entitled, “Cult Classic”.

“Each song has its own identity and story it wants to tell.” – Fiona Grey

‘Cult Classic’ vocalizes cultural issues and expresses Fiona Grey’s vulnerability. Also, it highlights her anger towards the world we are living in and her desires for the world we are shaping.

Grammy Award-Winning Mike Schuppan (Paramore, M83, Ziggy Marley) produced the 6-track project. Also, Dave Cooley (Fitz & The Tantrums, Stone Temple Pilots) mastered it.

“There is a lot about living in a pop culture centered world that we deem as ‘normal behavior’. Also, I hope that the music can remind the listener that this follower-centric, alternate persona universe we live in is all temporary happiness.” – Fiona Grey

Fiona Grey draws inspiration from the world of Hollywood, it’s unrealistic expectations and the vices that people use as a form of escapism.

She hopes her music will help listeners aim to be the purest and honest versions of themselves.

SECOND MATCH is Morgan Dor's story. I first met him in Chance Match when the omega he'd been paired with fell for his assistant instead. So when I saw Morgan in this story, I knew I had to read it.

It did help me, having read about Morgan before, as there isn't much background to him in this book. Riley is the omega he gets matched with, who suffers from an extreme UV allergy. This means he gets called a demon and shunned by everyone, including most of his family, by the religious cult he grew up with.

This book moves at a breakneck pace which, unfortunately, means most parts are not fleshed out or given the attention they deserve. At best, points are skimmed over and the reader is told what has happened, rather than being shown, ie. Riley's UV treatments, the year of their marriage, and the crazy cult leader. I was left with many questions after reading this, which was a shame as I had loved the other story.

A good addition to the Perfect Match Agency series that I did enjoy, but I would recommend you read Chance Match first, just so you get a little more background.

Thoroughbred For A New Generation
With its striking visuals and cleverly paced plot points, this modern day cat and mouse teen Crime Thriller will leave you speechless by the end credits. Anya Taylor-Joy's performance more than makes up for the film's weaker plot points as she brings a sense of vulnerability to the character that otherwise may have felt less memorable if portrayed by any other actress. As usual Olivia Cooke delivers a fabulously balanced performance mixed with dead pan that just makes sense given the subject matter. I feel this chic mystery will garner a cult following in the years to come and it rightly deserves so.

If Tommy Wiseau tried to adopt David Lynch's aesthetic and Tim & Eric's humor, and failed, the result might come close to what The Greasy Strangler has to offer. Of course it's intentionally bad, but there is a lot of schlock out there that's worth watching and enjoying. The Greasy Strangler does not fall into that category.
There are a few memorable and genuinely entertaining kills early on, and had they concentrated more on that angle, we could have a true cult goldmine, but instead all we're left with are a couple of bullshit artists.
The ONLY reason this is a two star movie and not less, is the score was spot on.

Review of The Voyages of Marco Polo
I’ve waited a long time for a Marco Polo themed game that would pique my interest, The Voyages of Marco Polo manages to do that and more, which in today’s Cult of the New climate is quite a feat.

Coming from Hans im Glück Verlags-GmbH, renowned for such Euro classics as El Grande, Carcassonne and the recent Russian Railroads, I expected nothing less than a solid resource management game. I was quite anxious to try the game out when I heard about it and I’m glad that it has exceeded my expectations.

Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
2017 | Sci-Fi
I'm writing this in November 2019.

The setting for the original 1982 Blade Runner movie.

The future L.A. of that movie is nothing like the 'current' L.A.

Released over 30 years later to a film that, at the time, was considered a commercial flop (but later gained a cult following), this sequel is visually sumptuous but also rather, shall we say, slow.

This follows a new strain of Blade Runner/bioengineered replicant called Agent K (Ryan Gosling), who stumbles upon a clue to an old case while carrying out a mission: a clue that, eventually, leads him to Rick Deckard (a returning Harrison Ford) and that threatens to unravel the fabric of the society in which he lives.

Great!
This movie is SO much better than I expected. The little boy from "The Shining" is all grown up. He and a young girl with psychic abilities(shine)take on a powerful cult of monsters posing as people. The acting is really good and the cinematography very good. The story unfolds beautifully with many twists and turns and ups and downs. If you enjoyed "The Shining" you'll really enjoy this one. The special effects were pretty cool. I wouldn't recommend it for younger viewers as there are some fairly graphic violent scenes. Overall though this one has lots of emotional moments and plenty of creep factor. The ending is fantastic. Really worth a watch!
