I am in love with this series!

The action, the romance: it's perfect reading for me.

I'm loving the whole Hendrix and Reagan romance. And Haley and Nelson are quite cute too.

There's just one thing spoiling this and that's the addition of the annoying, whiney Tyler. She needs a good dose of living outside sheltered accommodation and with the gang I think she'll get that. Maybe the animosity between her and Vaughan will lead to something and she'll chill out a little.

With her being a recent addition, she hasn't made me mark down the book yet but if she doesn't stop her whining I'll be petitioning for her demise :/

Friends 'til the end

Yet another reboot of Child's Play. I'm not sure we need another Chucky film to be honest but at least this had some new ideas. Set present day the Buddi doll can interact with a mobile app and other smart devices. This at least does allow for some fun plot elements and variety in kills. So it does differ in some ways from the original. The biggest problem is the look of Chucky. Not cute enough to be believable as a toy and not creepy enough to be scary. It's not bad as a Slasher film but nothing particularly memorable.

Kaijumax is about huge monsters that are in prison. Humans round them up to contain them so that they don't destroy their cities. It's a funny, violent story about the monsters trying to survive inside of their maximum-security prison. Reading the words that they use for curse words took some getting used to, but they're repeated often enough that you remember fairly quickly. There is a lot of actual drama going on in the story from all angles. The illustrations are cute and brightly colored, so it's definitely fun to look at, but the story, itself, is funny, gory, and sometimes intense. It's definitely not a series for young children!
