Some good mindless violence for my Friday afternoon. I did enjoy this one, but it's definitely nothing groundbreakingly new. It collects together classic heist moments with good action pieces. It actually remind me of the Leverage formula.
I don't think that this will be one I buy on DVD, but you certainly wouldn't be wasting your time if you managed to catch it on the TV.

Erika (17789 KP) rated Interview with the Vampire (1994) in Movies

The cast in this was strong, and did alright with the characters. I actually liked pre-couch-jumping Tom Cruise in it, though I will not mind when Lestat is taken over by someone else for the newly announced Vampire Chronicles/Mayfair Witches AMC project. The accents are kind of whack, but you can easily ignore that part.
The DVD I have shows a little pre-movie interview with some of the actors, the director, and Rice herself, and talks about how you're fixin to watch a movie about the most depressing vampires you've ever heard of. That made me laugh.
This is definitely a classic vampire movie.

Matthew Krueger (10051 KP) rated Sleepy Hollow (1999) in Movies

Johnny depp in this movie, he seemed like he was tired, drunk, mysterious, and overall wired. Its always when him and tim burton collbrate.
The plot: police constable Ichabod Crane (Depp) sent from New York City to investigate a series of murders in the village of Sleepy Hollow by a mysterious Headless Horseman.
If you look on the back of the dvd cover it spoils that christohper walken is the headless horseman. His name is not at the beginning of the credits because of tim didnt want you to know he was in the film.
It has a great supporting cast : Christina Ricci, Michael Gambon, Jeffery Jones, Christopher Lee and Michael Gough.
I think overall sleepy hollow is a underrated horror jem directed by Tim Burton.
