A brilliant Discworld Book
This is a brilliant Discworld book written in typical Pratchett style. Death is a fantastic character, always one of my favourites, and this is full of humour relating to him. It's always good when a book can make you laugh out loud.
My only criticisms would be that Princess Keli is a slightly irritating character and the book itself just didn't seem long enough - I wanted more!
Highly recommended for anyone wanting to dip their toes into the Discworld waters.

Superb stalk and slash with Savini effects
Tonight's viewing is this little gem from the 80s. Standard stalk and slash who dunnit with a very predictable killer but it's the work of gore wizard Tom Savini that's the real star here and what separates it from the other many slasher films made during the 80s and 90s. He gives us so many amazing death scenes with effects that hold up 37 whole years since release. A must watch for slasher fans and gore hounds!

A lonely Vampire damned for eternity
Contains spoilers, click to show
Louis (Pitt) a grieving lonely sole longs for death and is given just that, the eternal death of a vampire courtesy of Lestat (Cruise). An interesting take on vampire lore as the story is told from the point of view of the vampire, a great cast, Cruise as Lestat is astounding, the contrast between Louis and Lestat is fantastic, one loves life as vampire the other despises it, definitely worth a watch, the only movie I have ever watched that's made me want to read the book afterwards :-)
