Movie Metropolis (309 KP) rated Final Destination 2 (2003) in Movies
Jun 10, 2019
With a slick filming style and better characters, Final Destination 2 improved on its predecessor in almost every way.
The main disaster, a stunning motorway pile-up, is filmed to an exceptional standard with very little in the way of CGI and this makes way for more inventive deaths that have become talking points for fans of the franchise and converts alike.
Taking a more mythical approach, the violence comes thick and fast and this remains the second best edition of the series.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2434 KP) rated A Case of Hometown Blues in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Mitch Malone has returned to his hometown to teach a seminar on investigative reporting. But that also means facing the ghosts of his past, including several tragic deaths. The murder of his high school crush forces him into facing things he's been running from for a long time. I enjoyed the mystery, which was very fast moving. I felt like the characters outside of Mitch could have used more development.

Dean (6927 KP) rated Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies (1999) in Movies
Jun 10, 2018
Well it's not as good as the first I'm afraid, good to see Andrew Divoff back again as I think it was a new actor for the 3rd and 4th films. He hams up the Djin rather well, but the deaths are not as inventive as the first. I didn't think it was quite as gory as the first and it didn't have the dark humour of the first either. If you liked the first you might enjoy this, it just doesn't reach the heights of the first.
