It is all done with a level of basic technical competency, but the film's total lack of self awareness (July genuinely seems to think she's making something profound, not completely absurd) makes it a fantastically annoying and frustrating experience. The cinematic experience of nails down a blackboard for an hour and a half.

I should have realised from the first book that this would be a loose look at the little mermaid......I didn't though. This is no sweet story, and the only song you'll find is a siren song luring men to their deaths.
Loss is the catalyst for The Little Morgen, both Thalliya and Ragnor experience it and are thrown together because of it.......and yet again the Gods have their hands in what unfolds.
I really liked that there are links between the first book and this but the epilogue was bittersweet for me. So I'm hoping the next book will again have links and that I'll find something nice in that link.
As with the first this is dark with a bit of passionate sex and plenty of death.

I can barely remember the 90's film but I hoped this would be a good update. It doesn't disappoint. The fights are very good with some great choreography, close up, with weapons, hand to hand there are plenty crammed into this. Including some well known quotes. Some of the fights have some great "Fatalities" which the game was well known for. They are gory and deserves the films R rating.
There are a lot of funny scenes, lines and exchanges as well. Altogether a film fans of the game should enjoy, it's bloody good.
