Jul 10, 2018
I really liked this small novella. It shows the psychology behind making the big decision of becoming a submissive. It was wonderful to see "his" explanations to her. I think that this showed how large of a decision this was.

Strong performances by the entire cast (1 more)
A masterclass in tension
Worryingly advertised as a traditional horror which may disappoint some viewers (1 more)
A film that asks more questions than it answers
Consider this more a 'chiller' than a horror. A story of desperation, conflict and the weight of decision making.

Kevin Phillipson (10072 KP) rated Surrounded (2018) in Movies

Just finished watching on Netflix it's not bad film it's okay cgi sharks are terrible and some of the characters are bad at decision making but the standout for me is Audrey Reynolds the main lead In the who I was hoping would survive. But the shallows did it better

Merissa (12545 KP) rated Numb (Reflections #5) in Books
Apr 4, 2023 (Updated Apr 10, 2023)
I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.
This is a wonderful short story addition to Alec and Adri's story. It fills in some details on both of their sides and you can see just how the break up affects both of them. This is a short story but it still has enough detail to make it feel totally worthwhile whilst reading it.
A brilliant snapshot of the consequences of making a decision and then having doubts or having to deal with that decision.

I like the simplicity of the game... And that it doesn't detract from the game being clever. (1 more)
Strategy is a must with a decent mechanic.
Simple... But clever.
I really enjoyed playing this game. My son loved the concept. I think the strategy behind the decision making is deep enough and simple enough for all to take part in. A good fun family game. Even if you do get eaten.
