I guess this was a good lead up to the next and final book in the series, the one where hopefully Kaylee and the gang kick some serious demon arse and get rid of Avari and the other two evil bleeders forever. It's been a long time brewing and I'm sure it will be really good.

As I've mentioned before, this isn't my favourite series but I have to admit it does seem to be getting better the more I read (though truthfully, I didn't think it was as good as the last book).

I struggled with this for the first 20% or so. Nava doesnt come across as being the most likeable character but as soon as she entered what she called the "Demon Club" and met the rest of the guys it all got quite fun and i couldn't put it down. I was chuckling, doing some very unlady like snorts and grinning like an idiot in places when she said and did some wonderful things.

I'm also loving the thing she has going on with Rohan. Bring on book 2!

Death Note
Having never seen anything about Death Note gives me a special ability to actually rate the movie and not berate it because it didn't follow the comic books. Even the comic creator liked the take. I enjoyed most of the movie and glad they chose Netflix to air it. The ending quite surprised me, and movies these days pretty much are easy to figure out. Comic book fans clearly don't like It, But at least enjoyable to the rest of us.

A beautiful, magical fairy tale
Written as a 'grown up' fairy tale, set in Russia, this is the story of Vasilisa and her connection with the house spirits and eventually, the Frost Demon. She has magic, and this sets her apart from the others in her village, in a time where Christianity is flexing its muscles. Her stepmother is a devout Christian and won't allow her to worship the spirits. Eventually a city priest comes, unwillingly, to be their village priest, which is when things really start to go wrong for not just Vasilisa, but the whole village.
A brilliant story!

As I said in Red Headed step-child this has everything I like, vampires, mages, werewolves, Demons and much much more, I absolutly love Sabina Kane, she has attidude and underneath that really tough exterior she has a really soft heart that I thoroughly enjoyed finding out through the 3 books (Red-Headed stepchild, Mage in Black, Green-eyed Demon) and I cannot wait for the fourth book as i'm sure it will be even better the the first 3 as with each book we see more of who Sabina Kane really is and she gets even more interesting :)

The story continues! I love this series. Maine is still trying to find bits of the mask, the demon/ God seems to be happy with his possession regarding how much control he’s taking - it has become more symbiotic.
We are taken to a refugee island, and the little fox discovers where all her people are.
I’m wondering what exactly the cat is up to though. The fox is wanted for something by his people, but he doesn’t seem to want to hand him over. I think his allegiance might be changing.
And the end is rather explosive - what will happen next?!

I decided that after seeing Table 19 I'd go home and watch Rogue One as I'd picked up the DVD as they were putting them out on the shelved this morning... but then I noticed that Boss Baby had a showing in a few minutes, and it would have been rude not to see that too. There were some funny bits, and I quite enjoyed it, although I thought the "demon" children through Tim's glasses were a bit scary for a kids film. Probably that's just me associating it with horror films I've seen though. Where do I get a forever puppy?

Ghostbusters is a comedy horror film from 1984 directed by Ivan Reitman and written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis who also star in the film. The film follows three ex-university professors as they go into business to catch ghosts. This was Ghost Hunters before it was cool. One of their first clients, Dana Barrett played by Sigourney Weaver, hires Dr. Peter Venkman, played by Bill Murray, to investigate a haunting in her apartment. The chemistry between Murray and Weaver here is great. Murray is clearly a womanizer and wants nothing more than to go out with Weaver. Weaver plays hard to get of course. The monster designs are very imaginative for the time, some of them being a little bit creepy. When the movie uses practical effects, it looks really good. But when it instead goes for other special effects, it really breaks the illusion that these monsters are real. You can really see it with the demon dogs if you know what to look for. There is one scene in which Dana Barrett is possessed by the demon known as Zuul where she tries to seduce Peter Venkman, but it never goes anywhere. There's another scene where a demon hand comes out of a lounge chair that Dana is sitting in. And it literally cops a feel. No joke. Go watch that scene. It really looks like Dana is getting molested there. I don't know why that is in there but there it is. Be warned. Some scenes may frighten younger children. Parents be advised. But nonetheless, Ghostbusters is still a classic to watch during Halloween. Cause I ain't afraid of no ghost.
