Arren just wants to prove his worth. Being the young of the most elite warrior demon there has cast a dark shadow over him with some big boots to fill.
The only way Arren can see people thinking of him more than just the Wildfire Warrior's Son is if he joins Lucifer's Horde. A slight problem is that his mother can't stand the fallen angel and the hell she's been put through by him. Arren is determined, so he and his friend Mei set off to prove themselves.
This is the second book in the Hellfire series and I was excited to read it as I really enjoyed the first one. Although it has some references to some of the events in the first book, I think you could read it as a standalone as it does give you a quick description of the events. There is a lot of detail in the book and I find it adds to the quality with which it has been written. It means you're not missing any details that may only be small but are significant.
There are demons, archangels, battles, friendships made, rather racy sex scenes, as well as Lucifer himself. What more could you want in a story? I can't wait to read the next one in the series.

UNDERGROUND is the second book in the Demon Guard series. Raith has been suspended from the school for a week. He is supposed to meet with Chancellor Ward after that time but, you just know, Raith and Nox have enough adventure during that week to last anyone else a lifetime!
The title of the book gives away the main part of this story but there were still twists and turns that captured my interest. Ambry? Oh, dear. I will admit to feeling conflicted here. Disappointed - for sure, but also, slightly happy. I want someone who is Raith's equal and, at the moment, she isn't showing that. I don't know who, if anyone, is but certainly not her. I will keep my mind open and see where Ms Alsop takes me.
Once again, the relationship between Nox and Raith is outstanding and really is what makes this book (and series so far) superb. My heart broke for Raith when he said what he did, and I cheered for Nox's no-nonsense approach and forgiveness.
I've read two books in this series so far and both of them have been 5 stars. If that doesn't tell you something then I don't know what will. No second-book slump for this series. It just leaves me wanting more. Absolutely recommended by me.

This was the second in the series and while I did enjoy it and we learned a lot more about Grace and what she has to face I wasnt as gripped as I was with book 1. I can’t exactly pinpoint why though and that is so annoying I just found myself pushing through this one.

DEMON DATING SERVICE is a lighthearted book full of magical mishaps caused by well-meaning demons. It starts with them being bored and looking for a new game. One of them comes up with the idea of renting out a room to a local college student, and they take turns scaring the student. Sounds like a plan, right? Well, it would have worked except Luke is usually too exhausted and bone weary to be scared. Plus, he likes horror movies and is a nice person. Basically, they all love him and don't want to scare him any longer. So what they decide to do is help him with his crush on Matteo, and focus all their game on getting the two of them together.
This leads to plenty of laughs, mayhem, and the sheer wonderfulness that is this group of demons. I didn't want to get to the end of this book, due to the warm hug it was giving me as I read it. Each of the demons is fantastic in its own way, and Matteo and Luke fit right in. There is some nastiness with bullying, but that is also dealt with perfectly.
This was a great read that was brilliantly written and paced, and that kept me perfectly entertained. Definitely recommended by me.

This leads to plenty of laughs, mayhem, and the sheer wonderfulness that is this group of demons. I didn't want to get to the end of this book, due to the warm hug it was giving me as I read it. Each of the demons is fantastic in its own way, and Matteo and Luke fit right in. There is some nastiness with bullying, but that is also dealt with perfectly.
This was a great read that was brilliantly written and paced, and that kept me perfectly entertained. Definitely recommended by me.

A surprisingly wonderful middle book for a trilogy
Clockwork Prince is the 2nd book in the Infernal Devices Trilogy. The Shadowhunters and Tessa are searching for Mortmain before he unleashes a demon/automaton army.
Clockwork Prince avoids the middle book slump that a lot of trilogies endure. The first book was good but this book was definitely better in my eyes. One of the main reasons must be because of the amount of backstory. It really felt like Clare had thought out every single little detail. Such as what happened to Will as a child, or what is Tessa really?
Clare also didn't make the mistake of reiterating her previous TMI books. Often writers have a set formula for their books, but Clare has branched out and added extra layers. There's some deceit, secrets and mystery woven within the plot.
I personally enjoyed all the information shown about the Clave and politics. We learn how heads of institutes are chosen, and that it can be challenged. We also learn about how Shadowhunters do cooperate with mundanes to a degree. There's involvements in the monarchies and governments of the time. These may be throwaway lines but I enjoy the world building it brings.
I also enjoyed the travel of England a bit. Clockwork Prince visited Yorkshire. There was also a throwaway comment about Grantham which is in my home county of Lincolnshire. Although it wasn't explored as a location, I enjoyed the reference since I did grow up 20 minutes away.
Overall I enjoyed Clockwork Prince. I hope the third book lives up to expectations.

I resisted watching this show due to the whole hype about it, sometimes the hype is better than the actual TV show.
Giving myself a few months I began to watch it, and I was enchanted from the first episode.
The directors and actors/actresses do the TV Show justice, they are all fantastic and believable with wicked senses of humor.
I didn't expect this TV Series to have humor in from the responses I had received from people who had watched this before me, i was pleasantly surprised.
Jam packed full of adventure, horror and humor I really enjoyed watching this show. Watching the characters interact with one another and the relationships between them grow and change was very interesting to watch. SPOILERS - The one episode with the Sleep Demon was a very interesting episode to watch as it displayed each of the characters in a way that wouldn't have been possible any other way.
The only negative point that could be made is that it can be predictable and Sabrina just seems to look for trouble which on occasion can be a tiny bit annoying but the characters reactions usually make up for the annoyance.
I would say for anyone interested in the fantastical, mystical and an introduction to Witches to give this show a watch. It made me want to dye my hair back blonde, wear a head band and to paint my nails black! Definitely would recommend to anyone to watch.
