Best Alien film of the year
I enjoyed Life. Was hoping for a bit more with the cast it had, has one shocking moment, other wise it's predictable. The Alien has a great design, but is a bit over powered. Full podcast review on my blog.

Robot wars with cats!
Design a battle 'bot' to fight other users Not technically PVP as you watch the battle w/out manual input. Levelling up gets you bigger and better weapons or tools. Great quick play game that brings you back for just one more quick go.

"He realized that our problems are not innate to existence, but problems of design. This book is by far the most accessible of what he has written, and took maybe two hours to read. But it encapsulates the notion that "specialization" wasn't necessarily about getting better at stuff; it was about preventing any one person from knowing too much."

"This picture is amazing. The design, the voice performances, and most of all the character animation is astoundingly accomplished. Frank and Ollie were at the height of their ability to exercise their extraordinary talents and animated huge chunks of the movie. Shere Khan is amazing, and Kaa is so fun to watch because he’s such an appealing villain."

"Carol Reed’s black-and-white tale of postwar Vienna is a perfect storm of dialogue, music, photography, and production design. Although the most celebrated moment is the reveal of Welles and that sly smile, for me the moment that makes the film is the final shot when Alida Valli just walks right by Joseph Cotten. Damn."

"Jacques Tati is one of my heroes, and this film, I believe, is his best. It parodies the influence of modern architecture and design in the late 50s. Also, Mr. Tati used just the visuals to tell a story and make people laugh. Very deadpan. I also generally discard dialogue to make the imagery carry the plot and humor."

"I can’t tell you how many times I’ve pitched something and said, “It’s like if Terry Gilliam directed ____.” I fell in love with this film and those of Jean-Pierre Jeunet while I was in film school at Northwestern. I would love more than anything to make a film with a Gilliam level of design and art."

Good set design
Decent Exorcism Film
A decent enough film overall raised above many of this type with the touch of class Russell Crowe brings to film.
Good SFX and not relying on jump scares, loud noises for frights. Based on the books by the real man who did exorcisms for the Vatican for 30 years.
