The soundtrack incredulously represents the setting of Luke Cage.
A wonderful display of diverse characters.
Interesting representation of 'African-American' culture within Harlem.
A few poor action cuts and transitions which slightly break the suspension of disbelief. (2 more)
Fight scenes are slow and simple. This could be to represent Luke Cage's nature but I don't believe it to be a sufficient and engaging representation.
Feels like it awkwardly misses something mid season after specific events happen (no spoilers). The transition of the story is poorly executed.

A Return To Form
This movie is a lot better than the trailers show it to be, MacAvoy’s performance is gripping, electric and believably diverse. This is Shamylan’s return to form and is up there in terms of quality with Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense. The script isn’t amazing, but the actors do well with the material that they have and the production is on point. Good sound mixing, cinematography and direction. Gets a bit silly in places but is justified by the film’s end.

Fascinating stuff! Vast amounts of sheer geekery about sex, science, and the intersection thereof. If you're looking for sex tips or salacious reading, look elsewhere. If you're looking to howl with laughter without being able to explain WHY to most people, this is your book.

Okay, one might glean the occasional sex tip, but I don't think they're anything that common sense couldn't tell you. And you'll have to wait for the very last chapter for the best bit.

I'll be adding more of Roach's diverse works to my to-be-read stack soon!
