"Part of a deluxe boxed set of Kate's work right up until Experiment IV, the woman is an absolute genius and I just love this collection of B-sides, Christmas singles etc. 'Under The Ivy' and 'The Empty Bullrin'’ just break my heart. I love Kate's vocals laid bare, often better than the finished studio versions - just piano and her. Also, please check out the bootleg Cathy's Home Demos: it's staggering. It’s worth the price simply for ‘December Will Be Magic Again’ and ‘Lord Of The Reedy River’ (which I didn't realise was a Donovan song). I am haunted by Kate's opening line ""I fell In Love With a Swan"", that's where the swan bike for 'Phantasmagorical Entertainment' came from and, of course, 'Ride A White Swan' by Mr Bolan."

A decent read
Scout Donovan is a girl who believes in rules, logic, and her lifelong love of Charlie Hagan. Alex Cole believes in destiny, magic, and Scout. When Alex introduces Scout to the world of Shifters, men who change into wolves or coyotes during the full moon and Seers, women who can see your most private thoughts and emotions with a mere touch, the knowledge changes everything and everyone Scout thought she knew.

<strong>A decent read</strong>

This was Twilight without the vampires only better written. Don't get me wrong I like the twilight books but this just had the edge. It felt a little but rushed in places but for a first in the series it definitely made me want to continue reading.

Love triangle that ends in tragedy!

"I saw an advert for this album when it came out and I had to buy it. I just thought, 'With a title like that, it’s either going to be the greatest thing ever or the worst thing ever.' And from the second I put it on and heard 'Barabajagal (Love Is Hot)' by Donovan that blew me away. The second the album finished I got on the phone, and I was like, 'Find me these guys. I need to go and work with them.' Then I found out more about them and I went onto their website and they’ve got podcasts and everything. You should see them DJing. They are unbelievable. They will blow your mind. They’re modern day geniuses… even though one of them never says a word and the other one never stops talking."

Go The Distance
I love this movie, this is one of my favorite animation films of all time. Its a classic. You have great songs like.."The Gospel Truth", "Go The Distance", "Zero to Hero", "I Wont Say" and "A Star is Born".

The plot: Disney tackles Greek mythology in this animated feature. Hercules (Tate Donovan), a son of gods, was snatched as a baby by Hades (James Woods) and forced to live among mortals as a half-man, half-god. Now a teenager, Hercules needs to perform a rite of passage on Earth to prove himself worthy of living with the gods on Mount Olympus. With his plucky satyr sidekick, Philoctetes (Danny DeVito), along for the ride, Hercules must learn how to use his strength to defeat a series of evil creatures.

Such a excellent, classic disney animation movie.

"I was torn between this and Five Leaves Left, which is more acoustic. But Bryter Layter just has great pop songs. Great playing as well. It's a shame that he never caught people's attention at the time. I think he was disappointed that he didn't get the acclaim. He's such a one-off, just the sound of his voice and the tunes are very unique. Did you ever hear the record that they put out of his mum singing? It was funny. I always think with Nick Drake that it's like, 'Where the fuck did that come from?' It's a little bit folk, but it isn't really folk, there's a bit of Donovan in there, but there isn't really. And then I heard a home recording of his mum singing on the piano and thought, 'Ah, that's it...' It must be something in the genes."
