JRR Tolkiens classic children's(?) tale of Bilbo Baggins, and his journey to the Lonely Mountain in the company of Gandalf the Wizard and 12 Dwarves who are seeking to reclaim their inheritance from the dragon Smaug.

(According to the preface in the edition I read), this was written before his Magnum Opus of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, with Tolkien later going back and revising key portions of this - namely, the Riddles in the Dark sequence where Bilbo encounters Gollum, and finds the Ring of Power - to bring it more in line with those sequels.

Like The Lord of the Rings, while this may be (is) a good story, the prose can also be a little bit on the dry side - I did find myself occasionally skimming through some of the chapters. Not as dry, however, as I remember The Lord of the Rings to be!

Too good to miss!

The game starts at the main quest where the MC (main character) is about to be executed when a dragon appears within the village. It is very instructive as to your controls and how you play the game. I found it relatively easy and I was a beginner to gaming at this point. The story progressed as does the side quests. Characters are almost fledged as if they could be real and there are things in the game which you can have your MC marry an NPC and build your own house etc. It is truly a work of art. There are glitches which make the game frustrating, the combat is simple and easily boring, and they reuse the same voice actors for many of the characters which makes it unbelievable in some cases. Other than that.. Skyrim is beautifully made. (It says PS3 cause there was no PS4 option)

Not a bad strategy game

i downloaded this as part of a survey and for the most part i have enjoyed playing it. Its a nice simple interface (at first) that lets you build your fortress a bit at a time, add to this a dragon and you are certain to have a winner. Its quite monotonous at times as you wait for either buildings to be completed or research to be finished. I played it for about two weeks and the biggest down side is that its recommended you join a clan. The problem is that there are too many wannabe rulers who just play to win. The game allows people of level 50 to attack players of level 5 which ruins the game if every time you log in you have been attacked a dozen times and all your army is dead. A good game but there are better out there
