Deal with her Dragon is the first book in the Thor's Sons Love Curves series and, as the title of both suggest, there are DRAGONS!!! and curves.

The first thing I need to say is I love the ages of our main female. She is in her early forties - not a twenty-something whippersnapper. For the most part, Emelie is a strong and confident woman. The only time she isn't is when she is with her mother or when her coven-mates profess to know more about her situation than she does. This was annoying - mainly because so much of it struck home to me - but also added a whole layer of believability to the story!

There is some serious heat going on between Ragnarr and Emelie which made the hard part all the harder. I loved how descriptive of both main characters that part was. You could feel the despair oozing off the page from both of them.

The world-building is brilliant and I love that it's set in Sweden instead of America. The characters are all fully-dimensional, whether or not you like them is a different story. This is a complete story by itself but other brothers are mentioned.

All in all, this is a fantastic first book that introduces a world of dragons and some seriously sensual loving to the reader. Ruby Sirois' writing lets you delve into a world of Norse mythology, with scenes to melt your heart or to bring tears to your eyes. A hot and steamy novel that I highly recommend and I really can't wait to read more.

A FALLEN SPARK is the first book in the Windows to the Soul series and my review is a 3.5 star rating.

This is a long book, told from different perspectives and at different times. As such, it can be a little confusing to stay with the story as it jumps timelines and people. I would say this has romantic elements, but it certainly isn't a romance. Also, if you are sensitive to subjects, then I absolutely recommend you read the TWs as there are some horrible moments on page.

Adler is the prophesied dragon child, here to save the world. Unfortunately, choices he wasn't even aware of were taken away from him, and he became the villain of the story. But don't worry, there are plenty more in here, and a lot worse than Adler.

Mark is his childhood best friend, the one he loves, and the one he will die to protect. There is also Tabitha, Mark's sister. Skye, a journalist who lives with their brother, Darren, also has a role to play, as does Darren.

Laine is a wild card, kept apart from everyone, and forced to do experiments to keep her parents safe. I'm not sure if she is supposed to be a character you sympathise with or not, but I didn't. I found her to be quite spoilt and close-minded, unwilling to even try to see the bigger picture.

All in all, I found this book to be interesting, with a unique idea of things costing spells in a world where magic is fading, and the effects that would have.

READY FOR IT is the second book in the MacAteer Brothers series and I would say it definitely benefits the reader to have at least read book one in this series as it involves all the same characters and some of the situations help by having prior knowledge. I don't feel it is necessary to read the Dragon Runners series.

You know from book one that Melanie goes through 'boyfriends' like a hot knife through butter. What you don't know is the reason behind it. Owen has difficulties with his speech that make him the quiet one until he feels comfortable with you. However, don't mistake his silence for lack of intelligence. Not only is he smart but he has immense emotional intelligence and sees through to the heart of the situation.

As the story progresses you find out more about Melanie's past, mostly in flashback form, which helps to explain partly why she is the way she is. Some of it is just because she's a strong and feisty woman who isn't afraid to stand up for herself.

There is some steam in here but not that much as it takes a lot of the book for Owen and Melanie to get together. What there is, is a lot of loyalty with friends and family you make for yourself. Blood family loyalty? Well, you'll just have to read the book for yourself to figure that one out.

All in all, this was an enjoyable read with a host of brilliant characters. Recommended by me.

WEAVE THEM AND REAP is the first book in the Weavers of the Ether series and, I'm not 100% sure but it feels like it's a spin-off from a different series. Whether it is or not, I enjoyed this story of a renegade weaver finding her destiny and three mates at the same time!

There are other characters I'm hoping have stories told about - the princess in the Gate, Cam, Leif, Jet, and Wren, to name just some. But this story was about Echo, Finn, Brogan, and Soren. Four very different people who have a mate bond… if they accept it.

I'll be honest, Echo was a little annoying to start with. Her constantly happy mood, even when Jet was cussing her, was a bit much but I do know people who are like that, which made it all the more believable! Brogan was the one to hold everyone together, always chilled - until he's not. Finn was the lonely dragon who found everything he didn't know he was looking for. And Soren - oh, man - I've saved the best for last. Mr Ice who was slowly but surely melted. What a great group.

This is the first book by this author I have read and I was drawn in from the first page. The world intrigues me, as do the characters, and I look forward to reading more in this series and also by the author. The overall story arc has been left wide open, although, with the epilogue, we know Echo and her guys are certainly happy enough!

Thoroughly enjoyable and definitely recommended by me.
