In spite of the fact that Joesbury is largely absent from this book, the Mark/Lacey storyline features more prominently than it did in Lost (or Like This, For Ever, depending which edition you read). I was really missing it in the last book so I was happy to see more of it this time around.
Finally, Thessa's character is well-written and beautifully portrayed. I fell in love with her straight away.
I've got Here Be Dragons next on my reading list and I have high hopes for it. Still, I can't wait for the next full-length novel in this series!

David McK (3547 KP) rated Dragonheart (1996) in Movies

I feel old.
I actually remember going to see this in the cinema when it first came out, and remember the buzz over the Special Effects created for the dragon (voiced by Sean Connery) in the wake of Jurassic Park: if I remember right, I think it may even have got an Academy nomination for the same.
Anyway, this is light family fantasy fare, with Connery (as previously mentioned) voicing the last Dragon alive, and with Dennis Quaid portraying a disillusioned knight who has vowed to wipe out all dragons, blaming the same for corrupting (or so he initially thinks) the son of a tyrant who grew up to be a tyrant himself (as portrayed by David Thewlis).
Also starring a - very young, pre Starship Troopers - Dina Meyers and Pete Postlethwaite, this is an enjoyable enough romp if nothing special!

I completed this expansion around five months ago, and I am still reeling over it.
I love this story so much. It really has a special place in my heart that I'm never giving up to anything else.
I even started learning Dragonsong on piano before I got to this expansion because it sounded so pretty, and now I just want to cry every time I hear it.
There are characters from this expansion that are still my favourites, and they probably always will be.
The new jobs/classes introduced in this expansion are so fun to play as well. I literally switched over to machinist as soon as I found out that I could play it.
Overall, this expansion is amazing. Please play it. Please.

Sunrunners Fire ( Dragon Prince book 3)
By Melanie Rawn
Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments
The discovery of the Star Scroll, a repository of forgotten spells of sorcery, threatens the Sunrunners as Andry attempts to master the ancient knowledge, Pol seeks to touch the minds of dragons, and an old enemey reawakens.
These books get better with each one! They are a bit slow going but you realise how much you need that extra information as you get towards the end! Now not many books bring a tear but when Rohan and Sioned tell Pol about his birth and parentage I couldn’t stop myself! Over 3 books and they are thick books you come to love and despise these characters. It’s definitely a an epic journey. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes from the next set of books.
