Its a straight down the middle entry for DC, it's got some enjoyable action sequences and the animation looks decent enough, although recently, a lot of these movies are starting to look the same. It doesn't have a unique feel to it in that regard.
Deathstroke has always been a compelling anti-hero, but compelling enough to carry a full length feature? I'm not so sure, and I still remain unsure. There's a fair amount of depth on show here concerning his family life, but honestly, the plot is a bit of a snore fest at times, although I did like to see some more minor characters such as Lady Shiva and Bronze Tiger get some screentime.
Its not the worst DC animated film out there, and is still worth a watch for fans of the brand, but it's not essential viewing.

I had my misgivings about reading this second book as I had some issues with "Rage ...", finding the first two thirds really quite a slog. My love of the final third, where all the action was, really made my mind up. I am so glad I decided to read this book as it is truly superb. It has been a long time since a book kept me up reading at night, normally my eyes go quite quickly. Not so here, I was reading for over an hour at times.
The book is a nonstop thrill, every page either filled with action, strategy or concise dialogue that moves the plot along. There is simply no filler material at all.
I received a free copy in advance from the publishers and netgally in exchange for an honest review

Plodding script is largely to blame, also the fact that Vin basically just does his routine smirking-swaggering-smug performance for most of the film. Usual excess of CGI doesn't help the situation much either. Michael Kaine (look how kool I've made him seem) somehow manages to emerge with dignity, but he's about the only one. Lazy film-making in virtually every way that matters (although it scrapes another point for the moment when Vin Diesel dolphins a giant wooden insect). Are they really still planning a sequel? Kount me out.
