A Tigers Destiny ( Tiger Protectors book 3)
By Terry Bolryder
Kel Cunningham is the only white tiger shifter in the world. Taller, stronger, and faster than almost anyone, he's the best protection money can buy. Still, his two older brothers have found mates and Kel is ready to find a special someone of his own and settle down. And when his latest job brings him face to face with curvy Sofia, the first woman to make his tiger sit up and growl possessively, he thinks maybe she's the one. That is, if he can keep her safe and figure out why everyone in the underworld seems to be hunting her.
Sofia doesn't know what to make of the giant, model-gorgeous man hired to protect her. Kel's ice blue eyes, blond hair, and tall body stand out wherever he goes, and Sofia doesn't need to fall for a man that could get her noticed. But she soon sees that Kel is capable of handling anything that comes their way, and that beneath that muscular, sexy chest is one of the kindest hearts she has ever met. She knows she should stay distant, keep her secrets and trust no one. But Kel's warm, safe arms and searing kisses make her want to break all her rules.
So the last of the brothers is mates! Terry Bolryder has a formula and she sticks to it! This doesn’t make each book less enjoyable at all I still love them and most shifter readers will! They are quick but fun reads.
So now we continue onto the dragons and finding their dragon heart!

Merissa (13842 KP) rated The Dragon's Rose (Grym Hollow #1) in Books
Jan 23, 2024
THE DRAGON'S ROSE is the first book in the Grym Hollow series and I want all of them... now!
We start in a contemporary setting as Rose leaves the hospital where her sister has just given birth. Not long after, she is whisked away to another world and The Dragon's Keep. Not only is she there because of a bargain made, but also to marry the King - a little tidbit she doesn't know until just before the happy occasion!
Malix and Rose are a perfect pair. She is feisty and sassy. She has dealt with her own loss and so cares for others. She is also unafraid to go toe-to-toe with her husband when he's acting like a jerk! Malix is fighting to keep his kingdom safe but is intrigued by the human woman who stands up to him. He is protective and will always do his best.
This was an outstanding story that I devoured in one sitting. It is full of emotions that will draw you in and keep you turning the pages. My heart broke for Caliban, even as he found healing with Rose. It perfectly blends danger, humour, love, betrayal, romance, and steam.
The dragons' battle may be over but the war hasn't been won. We move on to the wolves next and I can't wait!!! HIGHLY recommended by me!

Merissa (13842 KP) rated Nine-Tenths in Books
Jun 30, 2025
NINE-TENTHS is a long and unique story about the love between a human and a dragon, in a world where dragons rule. Okay, so maybe that bit isn't unique, but the rest of the story is! The world-building is so in-depth and richly detailed, while also giving you characters that you will love and loathe. AND, although the 'I love you's' happen fairly quickly, there is still so much left to the story and for them to work through before they get their HEA.
Okay, so quick run-down. Colin is human, working as a barista, not knowing what to do with his degree. Dav is a customer who comes in to stare at Colin. Their meet-cute isn't exactly cute, but they are. And from then on? It's a clash of two worlds, two cultures, and lots of information that comes in dribs and drabs.
Colin and Dav are gorgeous together and are ably supported by a motley crew. They have their ups and downs, most of which are completely understandable. And if anyone (and I do mean ANYONE) likes Simcoe then they need to be tested, because this slimeball slithered everywhere he went.
This was something completely different that I thoroughly enjoyed. The imagination is second-to-none and I have no hesitation in definitely recommending this story.

Merissa (13842 KP) rated Omega Captive of the Golden Dragon (Alpha Dragons #3) in Books
Aug 20, 2025
OMEGA CAPTIVE OF THE GOLDEN DRAGON is the third book in the Alpha Dragons series, but it can easily be read as a standalone.
It is a sweet, slow-burning story that doesn't start off so well for either of our main characters. At nineteen, Caylen finds out he is a set-omega in a wolf pack, which means he will be sold. Varik, however, has it even worse. He is a golden dragon, who are hunted for their scales. Instead of protecting him, his parents keep him in a cage and forcibly take his scales. This goes on for years, until he is rescued by his brother. It is his brother also also rescues/buys Caylen and brings the two of them together.
This is full of emotions, and my heart broke along with Caylen's at one point in the story. Actually, at more than one point, but you get my meaning. It is steamy in places where it needs to be, but mostly it is about the connection between Caylen, Varik, and Varikan.
Smoothly written with a fast-ish pace, this was a brilliant read that I thoroughly enjoyed. The epilogue was perfect, and I enjoyed the snapshot into their later lives. Although dealing with some not-so-nice topics to begin with, this book gave me the warm fuzzies. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me.

Debbiereadsbook (1681 KP) rated Phoenix and His Dragon (Colorado Dragons #1) in Books
Jan 29, 2026
awesome start to a new series!
I was gifted my copy of this book.
This is the first in a new series by this author but there is a short prequel, Drake and His Dragon. You don't need to read that before this one, though.
I loved this. It pushes so many buttons for me, not least the dragon aspect.
I loved that Cole thought he was on his own. But He's not. Even if their meeting was not the best, Cole has Phoenix. And Cole has the Colorado Dragons ice hockey team on his side, he really did not realize. I loved that tey all stepped up to help Cole out of his father's clasp.
Granted, Phoenix is keeping secrets and when Cole finds ou, he lashes out, as he has always done. He does come good though. And Phoenix is really only looking out for his friend and his family.
I don't usually vocalise my feelings when I'm reading, but this book made me cry. When you get Phoenix's full history, it's hard reading. Cole's also. His male parental unit is a nasty piecce of work! I loved how Ignatius played him at his own game, and pulled the rug out from under him while lifting Cole to new heights.
It's emotional, it's got drama, it's got love, found family, hockey! I'm fast becoming an ice hockey fan, mostly because of books like this.
An awesome start to the series, and following books will have a lot to do to pace this one!
