"I’d heard rumour of them making this record and the rumour behind it was they were getting all these people – like, "Rob Halford’s on the record, what the fuck?" That record came out and it was such a brave turn. It’s so good, it’s still in my truck that I drive around in, it hasn’t come out of the 6-CD changer since it came out back then. My daughters have learned to love that record, they’re like, "oh, put on the Queens album!" It was another group effort album where I think Josh had a vision and Nick and all those guys were all at their... not zenith, ‘cos Josh has done a bunch of stuff since then that was just as good, but that record did set them apart."

So I started this yesterday and probably spent a good six, more or less, straight hours reading it and finished it a little after midnight last night.

I loved that everything worked itself out; feelings, rebels, friendships. I was just sad to see so many characters end up dead :( Some I was sad about and some not to much.

And as much as I love that Maxon and America got together in the end and that they had some lovely scenes together, like the one on the roof

still managed to drive me a little mad with her words and actions in regard to him.

Nevertheless I really liked the story and it was a nice ending to the series. I look forward to reading more books by the author :)

2017 | Biography, Drama
Based on the true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, Only The Brave is the heroic story of one unit of local firefighters that through hope, determination, sacrifice, and the drive to protect families, communities, and our country become one of the most elite firefighting teams in the country.

My normal selection of films doesn't generally include "based on a true story" tales, but this year has really seen to that. I probably wouldn't have seen this one if it hadn't been for the fact it coincided with the next Unlimited Screening. So thank god for that.

I really wish I'd read up about the background story before I went... I was not ready for that ending. It was all I could do to not sob out loud in my seat. Heartbreaking
