A decent action/thriller
An enjoyable action, thriller as a cop dabbles in the murky underworld of Las Vegas to recover drugs to free his son. It's not the most indepth story ever but it has a few twists and turns as people end up not knowing who to trust. The cast is pretty good and it moves along at a quick pace, although it doesn't really standout from many other similar films.

4th of July is right around the corner, and between the health festival, the big costume party, and the designer drugs, the HankMed gang is very busy. As fun visit with these great characters, and I enjoyed the emphasis on crime over medicine. However, I really hated season 1 Evan returning.

Wow!

Jake Gyllenhaal has had such a varied career as an actor and he is not even 40 years old. He tends to choose dark, interestingly woven characters which are complex in differing ways.

Which of these roles are your favorite?

Album Favorite

"Even though his music isn’t a huge influence on Vampire Weekend, I’d say Expensive Shit was probably the first African record I listened to a lot. In my early teens, I was into punk rock, and looking at the album cover, it fit in with that aesthetic. I learned the backstory about Fela getting busted for drugs. It was my introduction not only to the music, but also to the political situation."

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)

"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is one of my favorites. I love the book. Terry Gilliam is phenomenal. I love Terry Gilliam, I just love his mind. I love that, you know, he doesn’t even do drugs. The guy’s just f***ing crazy. Absolutely mad genius, and I love him to pieces. So, Fear and Loathing, to make that book come true, I mean, I can’t think of another book that would be harder."

An interesting take on addiction
This book tells the story of Nikkis decline into addiction and his struggles to get out of it. Some of the story Motely cruel fans will already know but in this book Nikki goes into the feelings and emotions behind the situation. The book is a bit dull in places.
