"The book centers on the meteoric rise of a rock band in the ‘70s and its lead singers Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne, whose connection is as electric as the music they make together. It’s sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll, people!! The book comes out March 5, so you can pre-order it now… And the very best part?! Hello Sunshine is turning this into a TV show with Amazon Studios… so stay tuned for more updates!"

Aronofsky movies are all dark and broody with a heavyweight message
This story delves into the dark world of addiction, usually when we think of addiction we think of hard illegal drugs, however addictions can take many forms and that is explored here in great detail through the eyes of four connected people.
A cautionary anti drug tale with fantastic performances from the entire cast with special mention to Wayans in his best role to date.

Reading this book is fine until you remember the girl you're reading talk about sleeping with her father, doing drugs, being trained to be a prostitute after kidnapping until you remember this girl is meant to be 10 years old, only 14 by the end of it. I find it horrible to think of a girl in this position, be it at any age, let alone a child going through these vulgar acts and giving her takes on them.

I found this book very hard to get in to - the characters aren’t at all likeable and the story was quite confusing in places. The language used in the story was also quite hard to follow. The main character Li-Ann is very immature, takes lots of risks and lots of drugs, and it showed. If that was the aim, then that aim was well and truly met!
Thanks to The Pigeonhole and the author for my copy of this book.

Watched a really good action thriller on Amazon called "Braven" starring Jason Mamoa. Remind me a lot of some of the old action movies from the 80s and 90s. Good acting, great cinematography, well played out (and fairly believable) storyline. He plays a logger who has to fight off drug dealers who've stashed a bunch of drugs in his hunting cabin in the woods. Really well made. I highly recommend this movie if you're into action stories. REALLY worth a watch!
