Acknowledges the validity of a plethora of religious traditions rather than just the prominent Christianity
Deepening understanding can never hurt
Overall, I found this book to be insightful not only in relation to the nations current educational situation but also in the way that we, as a society, tend to treat religion. I believe that this is a book that is better read a chapter or two at a time rather than in one sitting due to the depth of research contained within its pages.

David McK (3185 KP) rated Brick City: Lego for Grown-ups in Books
Jan 30, 2019
A hard one to categorise, this: it's not a story (obviously!), so no plot, nor is it a traditional educational book.
In the end, however, I decided to categorise it as educational simply 'cos it shows what can be done with LEGO blocks!
The book, itself, is really just photos (with, in most cases, building instructions for those with enough of the right kind of pieces) of the Lego counterparts of real-life buildings, most made by LEGO artist Warren Elsmore and a few by other contributors.
Makes me jealous!

Learn Something New Everyday
Inspiring, at the least, TED talks always has informative subjects. Even if it is not of particular personal interest, there is something to learn and take away from every “talk.”

This is a fantastic set of essays, both entertaining and educational, and Massey’s writing is both solid and accessible.

ArecRain (8 KP) rated Albino Animals in Books
Jan 18, 2018
A very interesting book, to be sure. Most people know what an albino looks like but they really do not understand anything deeper than their looks. Though this book was directed more towards a younger audience, it was still fascinated and educational.

very educational message
What a cool idea
Well i tried this game not knowing what to expect and i was pleasantly surprised. Its basically an underwater adventure similar to RIME in the way you have to solve puzzles to advance. The graphics are breath taking and the interaction with the underwater wildlife is both educational and fascinating. Apart from a couple of areas with things you have to avoid its a smooth, flowing game that is very relaxing and enjoyable. I would give this a try if you love slow paced adventure games.
