When I started reading this book I immediately realized I had already read the first book in this series. This book can totally be read as a stand alone. This continuation of Natalie and Lucas's story, I think it is one of the best I've read in a while. Both Natalie and Lucas have to learn the art of communication, dealing with emotions, and over coming obstacles of change.
I give this story 5 out of 5 stars for the unique and unexpected twists, the overcoming spirits that the characters display, and the great story line.
I love Beth Wiseman's stories and this one did not disappoint, just leaves you wanting more.
I volunteered to read this book from Zondervan Fiction in return for my honest feedback. The thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.

Celeana is a good character and so great to have such a kick ass female protagonist. I think some of her back story needs to be uncovered and quickly, its quite frustrating that this hasn't been explored already. I also find she sometimes goes through emotions very quickly.
I love the dynamics between characters, although I find some of the writing very obvious (perhaps due to YA genre).
I didn't see some of the events coming and I am really excited for the next book.
Lauren Cresswell writes a raw, emotional journey, one that no matter what your experiences of love, lust or loss, you will definitely relate to.
Expect to feel a strong range of emotions, ones that will bring up many memories of the best of times, and maybe the worst of times, the times that make us who we are.
At points this book literally brought me to tears. The book gives us a no-holes-barred, at some point almost psychedelic view into the author's experiences, experiences we all know too well, with a form that perfectly highlights the highs and lows of love.
Overall, a must read for anybody.

I recently rewatched this with my family. It still carries waves of emotions stemming from my childhood feelings about it, but a lot of things in the movie simply don't hold up to father time. I'm not sure that they were ever intended to though, to be fair.
Even at the time if felt like the movie was manufactured as a long play advertisement for the about to be released Super Mario Brothers 3 on the Super Nintendo.
With all that being said, and the inevitable baggage that comes with it, I still enjoyed it. So did my young children. I call that a win on any day/
