Crystal (9 KP) rated Delilah: Treacherous Beauty (Dangerous Beauty, #3) in Books
Jul 4, 2018
The writing is well done, and very easy to understand. The descriptions of the world are good, especially when discussing social aspects. The world is built well, with enough history given, but without overloading with too much information or facts. Although the writing is good, the character development is mediocre. The main character never really learns her lesson until it is much too late, and is hell bent on revenge before anything else. There isn't a lot of opportunity for growth, though she struggles in the beginning, it would be more empowering to see her 'fall' be a little more dramatic as far as her standards she was used to. It's mentioned but I feel that her emotions could've been better explored. For a 'biblical fiction' I enjoyed the story and historical information.

So much love for this book
I have so much love for this book. I love how descriptive it was when we were experiencing Scarletts emotions. I was definitely invested and pulled into the story. There were a few things I didn't like or didn't understand. I didn't like how long it took for Scarlett to come into being herself and standing up for herself I just felt like that took a little longer than it should have. I also didn't understand how some of the magic worked in certain places but then didn't work the same in other places. I also feel like we could have learned a bit more about Scarletts finance when and were he was involved. I dont feel like these took away to much from the story though to love it.
Thank you Dani Collins for sending over the book to me, and for your autograph! It's really precious to me!
As much as I love romance novels, this one is definitely at the top of my favourites.
For every romantic soul among us, this is a book that will lead you into an amazing world full of emotions, laughter, intelligent conversation and very explicit moments that will make you open the windows at home. My home felt too hot a few times ;)
It is a very good composed book, the story takes you in right from the very first chapter and I will save you all from spoilers, but I'll let you know that you will definitely love the ending and would want to know what happens after as well!
A must read for all of you that enjoy reading about love and happy ever afters!

Pretty much everything (2 more)
Paul Bettany
The banter (especially between Thor and the guardians)
Not enough Bucky (1 more)
Not enough Captain America
Amazing
I love the Marvel Universe, both comics, movies etc and this film was no exception.
For me, this was has probably been the best addition to the franchise yet. Going into it, I certainly didn’t expect the wide range of emotions I would go through, I went from laughing with rocket and the guardians to being right in the middle of the grief.
What I like about this movie was that the ending was not one you may have necessarily guessed would happen but that’s what makes it more exciting. Personally I can’t wait to see the next instalment.
My only problem was...there was not enough Bucky or Captain America, they are my two favourite characters and would like to have seen more of them.

Exploding Kittens? More like explode with boredom
Exploding Kittens is a game trying to evoke emotions through a silly name and theme but the essence of the game, the gameplay, is lack luster and after a few plays is boring. I have owned this game since it has come out and I can count on one hand the number of times I have played this game.
The only positive point is that the artwork is great and the game is worth playing just to get a look at all the fun art.

AT (1676 KP) rated Alice in the Country of Hearts: Vol. 1 in Books
Nov 13, 2019
I generally liked volume 1 of Alice in the Country of Hearts. It was trippy and bordering on perverse at times because of the male characters in Wonderland, but it's an interesting manga take on Alice in Wonderland. Alice is kidnapped and brought to an unfamiliar land that's filled with odd gun-wielding characters, most of which are constantly at war with each other. They see life very differently than Alice, so as she tries to navigate her way through Wonderland, she begins to get to know some of the people, and an exchange of ideas and emotions take place. Some of them are set in their ways, and some are open to learning about Alice, the Outsider, who is a normal human. It's more complicated and frustrating than it probably needs to be, because everyone that she meets falls in love with her.
