Let me start by saying this: That was unexpected. I usually write notes when I read, jot down theories and emotions, express suspicions or ask questions. While reading this book, that same sentence, "that was unexpected", was repeated over and over. So many people have raved over The Wife Between Us, I was curious. Not to say I'm highly disappointed, but I suppose I feel as if the book didn't live up to the hype. Granted, there were several twists and turns - some I was able to guess correctly and others I could never have predicted - but, overall, it was pretty good. The most intriguing part, for me, was trying to figure out if Vanessa was actually crazy, like her mother, and if I was falling for her altered reality. I would read and read, painting Richard as the villain, then she would say or think something that would make me pause and wonder just how like her mother she really could be. That ending, though, was a total bombshell!

Worth a read
For starters: Wow! What a rollercoaster. This fast paced novel keeps you on your toes and once you start you can't put it down.

You either follow the story from either Daniel; the one left behind; or from the side of Chenille; the one you learn to love despite her mistakes.

Despite the pace of the book; moving weeks months within a matter of pages; and the switching of sides it is easy to follow with plenty of twists to keep you turning the pages.

If you do have to put it down it is very easy to pick right back up without too much hassle.

You learn so much about these characters you feel their emotions; you cry for them, you fight for them and you care for them as of they are your own.

If you are after a good read to read wherever you are; on the school run (guilty!), on the bus or tube or snuggled by the fire with a hot chocolate then this is the one for you.

This great trilogy becomes a great quadrilogy
Like many, I initially felt that Toy Story 4 was an unessecary addition to the great trilogy that we already have, but after seeing it, I'm so so glad it exists - I would honestly rate it above 2 and 3!

The story treads new ground, away from Andys family, but yet still feels familiar, as Woody and co set off to rescue a lost toy, meeting various obstacles along the way (those ventriloquist dummies though)

The new characters are all pretty great, including Forky (Buster Bleuth through and through), Keanu Reeves' Duke Caboom, Giggle McDimples, Gabby Gabby, and Ducky and Bunny just to name a few, are all charming in their own ways and fit right alongside the classic characters with ease.

Once again, Pixar manage to squeeze in morals and emotions that honestly had me welling up at times.

Like I said, I was initially was wary of further stories in the Toy Story franchise but on the strength of this, I'll certainly be going to see any future entries!

How to find the words, because I'm first and foremost saying nothing about the movie, and secondly I'm truly at a loss to find words worthy enough to describe how amazing this movie is and the emotions I felt watching it. Supposedly it had a run time of three hours, but I was so sucked into the movie it went by in a snap; see what I did there? I don't think I realized just how emotionally invested I was in these characters until this movie. The past 11 years and 21 movies has been so truly special. The thought and time put into planning out the MCU universe and connecting every single one of these movies is something magical that has never been done in cinema to this level. We've been by their side in every battle, loved and lost right there with them. All leading up to this moment. I cried, I laughed, and I cried some more. Stan Lee, wherever you are in the ethers of the universe, much love.

Ailsa Rae is a woman with a terminal heart condition, until the day she receives a heart transplant. Ailsa is adjusting to life, a life that actually has a future. Now Ailsa is no longer dying she has to start living, but it’s hard. She’s struggling with her relationship with her mother and the father she’s never known, and coping with emotions controlled by a heart that isn’t really hers. Is it ungrateful to be so unhappy when your very existence is a gift?

Ailsa Rae is quirky and bold. She writes a blog about her illness and subsequent transplant, asking her followers to assist in some major life decisions. It’s a very clever device as whilst she is writing for her blog followers it feels like she’s talking to you so it fully engrosses you in the story. There is of course a love interest in there somewhere, but it’s not cliché. In fact in true style of Ailsa’s new life, it’s complicated. I really enjoyed this.

Who ya gonna call?
In the vein of such mismatched buddy action crime comedies like Midnight Run, 48 Hours, and National Security, Stuber pairs ex-wrestler Dave Bautista (Vic) and stand-up Kumail Nanjiani (Stu). Vic is a Los Angeles detective with a lead on the drug lord he has been investigating for years who murdered his partner. He gets eye surgery in a plot device to pass his firearm test so he is effectually blind. Stu is a sporting goods employee in the friend zone with a beautiful blonde he has known since college who has just broken up with her boyfriend and needs some Stu-love. Stu also works nights as an Uber driver with a checkered history. One night after crashing his Ford Crown VIctoria, Vic uses the Uber app his daughter installed on his phone so he could safely attend his sculpture exhibition. Stu takes the ride and rides along as Vic chases his white whale. Soon, Stu gets a load of testerone from the steroid-addicted Vic and Vic learns to express his emotions from the metrosexual Stu.
