Early noughties (2003?) Rowan Atkinson vehicle, with Atkinson portraying the only spy England has left following a bombing - probably the most inept of spies there is. Imagine James Bond. Now imagine everything he did went wrong.

You've more or less got Johnny English.

Also starring Natalie Imbruglia and John Malkovich, the plot of this takes in stolen Crown Jewels, Johnny's attempts to regain them, and a coronation.

Whatever the answer, I re-read Waugh’s books again and again, mesmerized by the chiseled craftsmanship of every sentence. I could have chosen any of his books, but the Sword of Honor trilogy, an affectionately comic portrayal of the bungling chaos of military life, is perhaps my favorite."
