Movie Rating

An ok English crime action film based on the old TV series. It looked very good from the trailer, but unfortunately that is quite misleading in the terms of the film as a whole. There are some good chase scenes and action set pieces, although not quite up to Heat (Which one scene is very similar to) but it does have the iconic London landmarks in there. Overall not bad but a bit more action would have been great.

This was something wonderful. I teach us about friendship and forgiving. It also about finding a missing child. It show what the Amish do for each person or children even neighbor's children. It show the difference in English world and their world. I just love the story and plot behind it. This is the third in this series. I still need to read book number 2. I recommend this book those that love Amish or Beverley Lewis.

Interesting concept and brilliantly reimagined worlds (0 more)

Characters are stiff and the plot is a long winded variation of Pride and Prejudice. (0 more)

Don't get me wrong, I love magic and Pride and Prejudice and the ability to commiserate with a fictional English grad student on the development of a thesis, but I was mostly underwhelmed by this novel. I wanted it to be so much better than it was. Still decent, but it had the ability to be amazing.

An enjoyable film to add to the series and very similar to the 2nd but set in China basically. It has good special effects, stunts etc but it does miss Rachel Wiesz in her role. Maria Bello is a fine actress but not sure she is suited to the comic moments as much, good attempt at the English accent though lol. Overall more of the same from the last one but nothing we haven't seen in the first two.

A great little English thriller on a low budget. I thought this would be an average at best straight to DVD offering, but was pleasantly surprised by it. I think the grim, everyday low budget feel to it added a touch of realism to it. The tension is kept high throughout the film and without it becoming too unrealistic. Yes it's a bit like Roadkill, but also another little known film called Shuttle. A very entertaining thriller!
