Great all star cast film
One of those films with a massive all star cast. A group of friends who come together during World War one run into each other again in the 30s when two of them are accused of Murder. However there seems to be a secret organisation at work trying to affect the Politics of the US.
One you need to have your brain switched on for to follow a busy plot with twists and turns. Worth watching to see the talent on show starring together.

Movie Metropolis (309 KP) rated Bridesmaids (2011) in Movies

I’m not ashamed to say that I think Bridesmaids is one of the funniest films ever made. The very talented Paul Feig took an incredible ensemble cast and threw them together with such hilarity, it made my ribs hurt. After the trials and tribulations of the movie itself, Bridesmaids culminates in a ridiculously over-the-top wedding orchestrated, to the dismay of Kristen Wiig’s Annie, by arch-nemesis Helen (Rose Byrne). It even features a glorious musical number by Wilson Phillips. What could be better?

Blazing Minds (92 KP) rated Me, Myself & Di (2021) in Movies
Oct 29, 2021 (Updated Nov 2, 2021)
Me, Myself and Di is a quirky, comical and well-produced British comedy with a huge ensemble cast including James Lance (Northern Soul, Bronson, Marie Antoinette, Bel Ami), Lucy Pinder (The Royals, Age of Kill), Will Mellor (Two Pint of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Line of Duty), Tyger Drew-Honey (Cuckoo, Outnumbered), Larry Lamb (EastEnders, The Hatton Garden Job), Marek Oravec (Captain America: The First Avenger), Wim Snape (The Full Monty, Coronation Street) and rising star Katy Clayton (Casualty, Shameless), Me, Myself & Di is a fun, feel-good and uplifting love story about being true to yourself.

“I married your mother because I wanted children. Imagine my disappointment when you arrived.”
The penultimate Marx Brothers film as their time with Paramount was drawing to a close, Horse Feathers was possible one the their most anarchic entries. The paper thin plot revolving around building a football team at the failing fictional Huxley University, in which Groucho’s, Quincy Adams Wagstaff has become headmaster, is nothing more than a platform for ludicrous comedy.
This gives rise to one of the most even handed ensemble pieces which I have personally seen within The Marx Brothers franchise, with all three main brothers taking a more equal part in the comedy. I normally find that Groucho steals the show, but here, it was hard to decide. Of course Zeppo had little to do as per usual, an issue which would eventually lead to him leaving the screen ensemble.
Laughs a plenty as they had moved further away from their Vaudeville musical comedy roots, focusing more of straight gags, which were as hilarious and as memorable as ever! There were of course the usual songs and musical interludes but this did seem more accessible for a modern audience as the primary focus was on the group and their crazy antics.
A great comedy from the dawn of talkies and these lot knew exactly what to say.

Stellar cast (2 more)
Brilliant writing
Stunning visuals
Are We Really In Control?
This is another prime example of how we are currently living in the golden age of television. Everything about this show is great, the amazing performances, the plot twists, the incredible visuals, the pacing, the tone and the writing and direction. Hopkins is amazing, as is Thandie Newton and Ed Harris. The other performances are great as well and they all come together to make a fantastic ensemble of intriguing characters in an existential, insane world. If you are a fan of dark, morally ambiguous sci fi stories, then this is the best there is.

Good show with a great ensemble
This is another Chuck Lorre gem that is great on many levels. It appeals to the geeky nerds, portraying them in a very positive light. It appeals to regular sitcom viewers as well as those looking for growth in characters. It can be a touch transparent at times but overall is a good series to watch that will make you both laugh and give you understanding and insight into the nerd subculture.

Decent heist film
I didn't see any reviews before seeing this so I had an open mind. I didn't expect much but found it enjoyable enough as a fan of the the other films. The cast is overall impressive, although Helena Bonham Carter was a bit panto and Rihanna doesn't have many lines. I thought James Corden was miscast as the insurance investigator. Cate Blanchet and Anne Hathaway stood out the most.
It doesn't have the Razmatazz and humour of the original, but it did have a couple of ties to the other films. Don't expect anything too deep or meaningful and you should enjoy it.
