"Kathy Acker was a punk-rock, post-modern writer-artist and she wrote this piece after her mother died. The title says all there is to know about her feelings towards her mother. Acker’s writing coalesces to its most epic as she reinvents, bends, and destroys language, to build a world that is a complete psychological immersion and creative experience. Her books are a gift to humanity."

"My dear friend Joan Juliet Buck has had quite a life — epic adventures in Hollywood, Paris, London, NYC and Ireland! This is her life story about the drive and allure of glamour and appearances, all the way to being the first and only American editor-in-chief of French Vogue, to her complicated relationship with her father (who was producing partners with John Houston and Peter O'Toole)."

"Next, I’m going to go with Barry Lyndon. It’s next-level filmmaking. It blows me away what he’s doing with narrative in his camera, the curated detail, and look of that story. Also with the intermission in the half, it becomes this two-part epic. When I watch it again, I’m transported in awe. And I do feel like that’s an underrated [Stanley] Kubrick film."

"Paul Thomas Anderson — what a fantastic director. These are all directors that I would love to work with, you know. I doubt any of them could give a sh*t. [laughs.] Boogie Nights. Pretty epic. It just captured that era so brilliantly. Mark Wahlberg, man — great role. Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman — they just blow me away. I could watch it again and again. Great movie."
