"All About Eve, because I just think the dialogue in that film is incredible and so brilliant, and I never get fed up with watching it. It’s just brilliantly acted; it’s b—-iness at its best."

EPIC
This is my number one Christmas movie that I have to watch on Christmas Eve. I know it's not really a xmas movie but, to me it is. One of Bruce Willis best movies. Don't really know if it needed 4 sequels but reportadly a sixth is in the making

A Sniper in the State Park
Eve Ronin’s latest case starts in Malibu Creek State Park. A former movie studio backlot, it’s been known for hiking and camping for years. But someone shot at two female campers, killing one and wounding the other. Eve’s partner, Duncan Pavone, immediately connects the shooting to some cases he was investigating before Eve joined the department, but the higher ups are refusing to acknowledge that this is anything but an isolated incident. Can Eve find the truth no matter where it lays?

This strong book may be the best in the series to date. I couldn’t figure out where the plot was going to go for quite a while, and I mean that in the best way possible. Once I reached the end, everything was resolved in a logical manner. Eve got some great growth here, and all the characters, old and new, were strong and at their best. There are a couple of sub-plots that grow out of the events in previous books in the series. While you could read this as a standalone, I recommend you read the series in order. Since this is a police procedural, there is a tad more content that I try to avoid, but it was kept to a minimum. I also really enjoyed the humor in the book. If you are looking for a strong mystery, you’ll be glad you picked this one up.

I didn’t think that this series could possibly get better but it did. And I’m so glad that it’s turning out better than the TV series which I absolutely adore. That’s why I have to rate it 4.5.
We pick up exactly where we left off, with the person that Eve has identified as an informant and from there things quickly go wrong. Eve comes face to face with Villanelle before she abducts the person that Eve has just been interrogating.
We also see more of what Villanelle does best - her planned assassinations and watch her plan them out and play out either as expected or completely the opposite way to the plan. But whichever way they turn out, it is thrilling to read how Villanelle manages everything within her stride.
Eve starts to learn more about Villanelle and through a lot of investigating she works out Villanelle’s codename, although people don’t believe her, on a hunch. Eve is always a couple of steps behind Villanelle which she finds both frustrating and exhilarating, and Villanelle enjoys leading the chase.
The twist at the end of the book is not exactly what I expected, but nonetheless it made me want to carry on reading and before I knew it I was at the end of the book! I’m excited to read the next instalment in the series as I feel that it will be even better than this book.

Movie Favorite

"I feel about The Lady Eve the same way I feel about A Hard Day’s Night. Both movies are on my all-time top ten list of favorites. The first time I saw them, I had the same impression of comic density. Enormous energy that I was running to keep up with. I felt like I had to see this movie again, if only to have another shot at laughing at the hundreds of jokes. I love movies that make you feel like you are not getting it all the first time, that there is much more to be had. Eve is my favorite Sturges. I love the chemistry between Barbara Stanwyck and Henry Fonda—like when she takes him back to her stateroom, manipulates him into making a pass, and shuts him down with “Hopsie, you ought to be kept in a cage.” On a pure filmmaking level, the honeymoon night on the train when Eve confesses to all her premarital dalliances is a tour de force of writing, acting, and editing, and it’s one of the best musically scored comic sequences in any movie ever! Sturges’s mother was an adventuress, a confidante, and traveling companion of Isadora Duncan. I like to think there is more than a little of his mother in Eve."

New Years Eve
A perfect Romantic Comedy for those who like dialog... Really nails the time period.... and a diner scene.
Way beyond quirky, but still interesting and relatable. This is one of those films that when it comes on TV I don't change the channel until the next commercial breaks the spell. It's great. For Meg Ryan, her best films are this one and Sleepless in Seattle.

On the eve of retirement a middle class, judgemental snob discovers her husband has been having an affair with her best friend and is forced into exile with her bohemian sister who lives on an impoverished inner-city council estate.

This is a wonderful combination of some super talent. A really nice quality film, simply story and really enjoyable. I don't know what else to say about this one. Pleasing, with a some laughs and a little bit of heartbreak.

This is a well written and sweet coming out book. The uncertainty of knowing who you are in an world that you know is not kind and accepting is captured by Archer. Eve lays low figuring just get to college and life can begin for her. The she is talked into trying a new GLBT dating app. The worst that can happen in social media does but then the best. It definately was a cute book and I really wish there were more books like this when I was a teenager.

RAISING HELL: HOW TO SURVIVE THE TERRIBLE TWOS really should be read after What To Expect When You're Expecting Something Different as the story continues on from that one.

Eve now has two children - Seraphina and Malak. She is trying her best to rein in Seraphina's erm... let us say evil tendencies! Not so easy when you have a strong-willed child but especially so if they're the antichrist! Thank goodness for Malak. He is a child who just eats and sleeps, giving Eve a little respite. Her world is still crazy, although Lucas does his best when he can.

It is a while since I read the first book so it took me a while to fully get into this one, as events that helped to shape Eve, I couldn't fully remember. The story soon dragged me in, and I was lost within the world created. Some of the events were expected but some weren't!

The imagery you are given in Katie Zaber's stories is just outstanding! The descriptions of Eve's mindscape are so clear. And the emotions come through loud and clear. You can feel her frustrations rolling out through the pages.

It does end on a cliffhanger so fair warning. Plus, I really need to know more about Desmond. A thoroughly enjoyable book that is different to the rest and absolutely recommended by me.
