First off let me say paranormal romance usually is not my thing. Now that being said I really enjoyed [Reyna Hawk's] [Angels & Arrows] because it was not a typical paranormal romance. Yes that was part of it but there was cultural history and excitement as well. None of the "Oh woe is me my vampire boyfriend left me I am going to curl up and die." Maria is a fighter. A bit of a pessimist but really a fighter. It takes a bit for her to learn to trust and have faith but when she does evil spirits better watch out.

Iris lives a life with everything orderly and controlled. An anonymous gift turns out to be a sick piece of artwork which leads Iris into danger. Can a neighbor and his dog help her find love, comfort, and the ability to trust again?

As with the first book in the Planted series, this is more than just a book of mystery and romance. The underlining story has to do with finding faith, strength, understanding, and support while gaining a deeper relationship with God and his teachings.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Flew right through another one! LOVING this series and I can't finish one fast enough to get to the next. :) One of my favorite aspects of this book is that we get to follow everyone's story... and I'm loving every one of them!? These are some tough MC's guys, yet they all have a genuine soft spot for the women in their lives and while they all struggle with their own relationship drama, you know they are genuine and you can have faith that all will work out. One day read. LOVE this series- Highly recommended!! Onto Book #3!!

Restores your faith in humanity
A gentle story that deals with some hard issues. The central characters are beautifully created and although you don’t immediately love Eleanor, by chapter 5 you want to rent her your spare room.

She lives her life guarded, hurt and stuck in her routines. She has no interest in the lives of others and struggles to understand the behaviours of her colleagues, but her weekends are devastatingly lonely.

An unusual series of events opens Eleanor’s eyes to lives of those around her and to the beauty of letting others in to your world.

Why did I wait so long to read this book?
Why did I wait so long to read this book? Maybe I was afraid taking up the mantel of the winter knight would ruin a great character. Oh me of little faith. Butcher did a fantastic job. Humorous and heavy he actually answers some questions while he teases you over more. He even does some wonderful world building of the nevernever (14 books in and he still surprises) I found out more about the Fae in this book than any of his others.
