Chris Hooker (419 KP) rated Once Upon an Ever After (Once Upon a Road Trip, #2) in Books

The amazing adventure of Angeli continues. After her road trip to explore half of America and meet some people from online face to face she returned to Minnesota with a new sense of self, a stronger sense of faith, and a new long distance boyfriend. In [Once Upon an Ever After] [Angela N. Blount] shows that nothing worth having is easy but it doesn't have to be hard as long as you stand by what you know and believe. This is an incredibly well written and well told coming of age novel for today. I highly recommend everyone read [Once Upon A Road Trip] and [Once Upon an Ever After].
This book has a specific audience, and it can be hard to tell if you're a part of it. From the perspective of the confused Christian, it's a great resource. Sanders does an excellent job of describing why people are leaving Christianity for Neo-Pagan religions. She turns a critical eye on her own faith and holds it up to Wicca to figure out the appeal. Where she fails, though, is in thinking she's going to convert anyone. Her proselytizing takes up only so much of the book. I would definitely recommend it for the bewildered Christian, but it certainly isn't an "Occult/Witchcraft" book, as the back claims.

I love anthologies. They let you sample different genres or writting styles. This anthology ia all about the urban fantasy with the hottest authors. From the three authors I've read the series of they are one shots
Faith Hunter's Signatures of the Dead comes before the series starts. It gives fairly good background info as well as, clarify some referances made in the books. Patricia Briggs's "Seeing Eye" also hapends to characters that are in a book of the Alpha & Omega series but doesn't hold spoilers just gives the universe it ia set in more depth. Jim Butcher... Well nothing goes easy for Dreaden not even getting a beer.

This was a found read. It also got my emotions for what a surprising ending as well. Dylan and Annie have to struggle with their past to get though. Though Annie is more worried about her sister and nephew more so then what really is bothering her.
Though it all though they do find somethings. I suggest if you pick this one up you get some tissues. It reach the value of true love and having faith and letting go. Annie as though things needing to learn though out the book. Dylan need to learn somethings though most of it is Annie needing to learn to trust as well.

I thought this book was in the middle. I liked it. I think I would understand it a little bit more if I read the second book before this one. I think it would make sense a bit more. It still good with out reading the second book in this series. I will let you decide for yourselves.
The book focus on Gideon and find the faith. Lonnie need to learn to deal with her own problems as does Gideon. You also see a friendship and others in on it. I do not want to give anything away so I will leave it here.

I received this copy of Romanov from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I requested this book fairly certain I knew how it was going to go but I'm a sucker for all things Romanov, so cool beans!
I was wrong.
This book was beautifully written and the mixture of heartbreak and joy while the Romanovs were in exile was written so well.
They had their faith and each other so things couldn't be that bad, right?
Yes, this is a tragedy. It is also a hope (if that makes sense) and absolutely a celebration of life in the face of extreme despair.
