This. Book. Broke. Me.. quite possibly my favorite book of all time. The action was intense and present throughout. The strength of the characters I had already fallen in love with was inspiring. And the emotions I felt while reading were ridiculous. I cried and laughed and literally held my breath at points. Fantastic ending to the main trilogy of ACOTAR.

I really enjoyed both The Liars Club series and The Royal Four by Celeste Bradley, but Fallen for me wasn't quite up to the same standard. This was her first book, so maybe my expectations were too high from her later work? I missed the humour most especially. I also found that Fallen was very much more a charater driven books without a huge amount of plot going on.
The heroine, Izzy, wakes up suddenly one night to find the hero in her bed! It's a mistake, but of course in the eyes of the Ton she is a ruined woman, unless he marries her. I liked both Izzy and Julian, but there wasn't enough there to make this a truly great example of the genre. It's still a pleasant read, but Bradley's other books are better in my opinion.

Mediocre and lumbering action movie.
This has Gerard Butler too old/out of shape to be a credible presidential protection officer. None of the style of Clint Eastwood's "In the Line of Fire" which had a similar story. As a plus point, it didn’t have the distasteful xenophobia of “London Has Fallen” (which I rather generously gave a 3/10). So I feel I should at least top that. But again I feel I’m being generous. It’s all crushingly mediocre, and if I can remember any of it after three months, I’ll be very unlucky indeed!
