"Nobody does Indian-family drama quite like Nisha Sharma. Throw in big business intrigue, tons of romance, puppies, and North Indian cuisine (spicy chole bhature, anyone?) and you’ve got a sizzlingly hot escape read."

I wasn't sure what to expect from this. I thought it might be more along the lines of an invasion thriller. It's purely a drama though as America loses all power and a family try to get by with what they can with their home in the Forest. Interesting to start with but it doesn't really go anywhere to be honest.

Watched tonight it feels very British stiff upper lip very boys own drama for the family with sci fi twist some of the acting a bit wooden the special effects very outdated but still not bad film for its age

PR for hire Sasha Solomon is traveling to Socorro, but her trips takes an unexpected turn when her niece is hurt in a pipe bomb blast. Can Sasha find out who planted it while keeping her niece off the suspect radar? This book is equal parts family drama and mystery. The family drama got a little old near the end, but on the whole the plot was strong. And there is plenty to think about when the book is over.

Good Family Drama
Well I'm surprised at the critics poor reviews, once again...funny how they always seem to have a different opinion to the majority?! I thought this was a nice, low key, subtle, touching family drama. A simple tale based on an Italian film of the same name from 1990. A windowed father makes an impromptu road trip to see his kids when they fail to show up for a family dinner. Discovering along the way the truth about their lives they have kept from him as they only use to open up to the mother. It has plenty of nice little touches along the way, it can be sad at times but in other ways becomes a nice reminder about the importance of staying in touch with family. Great performance from De Niro and a good cast line up. Well worth a watch!

After a convenience store robbery goes wrong, the villains take a family hostage in their own home. Unfortunately, the family has secrets that will create a nightmare for all involved. The twist on the hostage drama started out good, but it fell apart in the end when it got completely unbelievable.

I received a copy of The Lovely and the Lost from Disney Book Group through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, this book was fantastic. I really loved Kira and her relationships with...just about everybody!

The flashbacks were dealt with really well and I loved the family drama.
